Feeling the Bicep More

Just wondering what everybody does for a better bicep mind muscle connection. I notice it is probably the weakest area on me visually and also the area I have the worst mind muscle connection.

Even when I flex my arm I feel my tris and shoulders more doing a bicep flex. My only saving grace with bi's is I have a good brachialis mind connection so that is fair developed.

I like to stare an talk to mine while repping set after set lmfao. I say all kinds of shit to them like....grow my pretties:D Then my Ol lady walks in an says, who the fuck you talking to like that??? Ummm....You my pretties;) Whooo that was a close one:p

My arms grow to insane volume something I've learned lately. I go heavy as fuck on standing barbell curls and hammer curls then just a load of volume after that.

Volume deff blows my up. I used to think going heavy would make me big. I couldn't have been further from the truth, well for me atleast. I can take a 25lb dumbell an blow my arms up. Makes em look like I can curl 100's for reps lol. Now its nothing but TUT. It just works for me an I have grown way faster than trying to heev an hoe those heavy ass weights with lil results to show for it. Fuck it, id much rather look like I can bench 1000lbs than to actually be able to do it!!!!

I started lifting again after 2 weeks. I am doing low weight hign reps, where I used to do high weight low reps. I feel the pump so much more right now. I do feel weaker but I am sure it will go away soon. Low weight high reps with one minute rest periods kicks ass!!!

I just really get in my head and focus for th muscle connection, but to get the best contraction if I'm using DBS for curls, when I rotate my hand up I try to tilt my hand so my pink is the highest, if you rotate your hand palm up and try to make your pinky the highest finger you will notice your bicep automatically contracts. Hope this makes sense lol hard to explain

My arms were lagging for many years as opposed to other muscle groups until I started decreasing the rest time between sets. 40-60 seconds rest max with continuous tension during the set has worked amazing. I can say my arms are one of my best bodyparts now. Incline dumbbell curls are always included in a routine.

I squeeze and hold it til it cramps up like a ball. I let that shit go for say 30 secs. After that I am able to rotate and curl.

But let me emphasize, I work hammers 1st b4 jumping unto my other cyrling movements.

Control and contract every rep.
Could you elaborate on that? Biceps have always been a lagging body part for me, triceps are big but my bi's suck. Ive tried heavy weights with little success. I just never feel it deep in the biceps muscle.
Anyway if you could give us an example of how you would do say... Incline dumbbell curls this way, im sure many here would appreciate it.
And BTW i ask you this cause ive seen your arms in the biggest most shredded and their LEGIT, very impressive[emoji123]

Buy a muscle stimulator, try to flex it when it's pulsing. Made such a difference for me.

Also, try to isolate the fuck out of the bi's.... Do seated T curls, 1 arm preacher DB curls and lying cable curls. After each set, flex the muscle as hard as you can (seriously, make it pop) for 20 seconds or so. Give this a try for a few months, I PROMISE it'll help.

I was watching a video twisting the wrist technique with a dumbell which I've done before. So I was dicking around and noticed my wrist are extremely flexible in rotation compared to most people. I can rotate them almost 180 degrees probably 160 degrees.

Just tried doing curls with no dumbbells in this, maxed rotation finally felt those fucken biceps burn like never before in my 10 years of lifting. Can't see doing this with DB as I imagine my wrist wouldn't like it much maybe a light one. However I'm going to try doing this as a pre exhaust or between sets. Maybe this can help some other people that share in my struggle for bicep growth.

I'm also going to try a few other things mentioned here that I haven't attempted yet thanks guys for the tips.

Couldn't have said it any better! TUT for giant biceps!!! The same principle can be applied to almost every body part...to an extent.

try the 1 minute chinup, underhand grip on a chinup bar. you take 30 seconds to go up and another 30 sec to lower yourself back down. Then go grab a pair of 25 lb db's and go until failure with 4-5 sec negatives AS WELL as 4-5 sec positives for 1 set, then go directly to a preacher curl machine and do the same thing. Go from 1 exercise straight into the next with only enough rest to walk to the weights and machine. Your bicep workout will take about 5-8 minutes max. Tell me how ur arms feel the next day

I love db preachers. I need to start adding more isolation movements. Most of my arms work congress from BP or the preachers.

Did the flexing really work that well?

It really helped with my mind-muscle connection, yes. I still do it once a week or so.

I keep it pretty simple..this is what works for me..doesnt have to be strictly these exercises, but basically something like this.
-3 sets chin ups..basically to warm up.
-4 sets..Heavy..straight bar curls.
6 to 8 reps...4 minutes rest between.
-4 sets..light..seated hammer curls.
I use 30 lb dbs, maybe 20 reps each arm. 2 minutes rest. Focus on the downward movement and form..keep biceps flexed.
-3 sets..curls, any type..very light..i use a 30 lb bar..standing or preacher..very slow reps, on the negative. As slow as possible and until i have to drop weight due to pump.
And cant forget my smuckers peanut butter and jelly..bring 5 or 6 with me and eat between..premade, 2 for $1..keeps me going. I also do some slow light work with my chest when i work my bis..maybe 3 or 4 sets..

I try to increase weight every 2 weeks on the heavy sets..and either aim for more reps or up the weight on the lighter reps. Sets and reps change, dont really focus on that too much..i focus on how i feel it in my arm this time as opposed to the week before. Form and focus does more than counting sets and reps..
