Films ...

I guess it was well written? It was just not my preferred ending... As soon as he was heading to the elevator at the end I knew something was not right.

It was similar to a movie with Jodi Foster called Flight Plan. That was a pretty good one with a better storyline.
The problem is that there were only two possible outcomes, he's all there or he's fucked in the head. Personally, I'd have killed that nagging bitch too.

The problem, though, was that there were some things that didn't add up. Like that ambulance driver getting what appeared to be an envelope of cash from the guy that came out of the hospital. Imo, that's weak writing. The provided plenty of reasons for the rationality of the eventually obvious irrational main character and then they decide to surprise us and show that he was irrational all along after it seemed obvious that there was something shady going on with the organ "donation." I give it two thumbs down.

The Face of Another -
Directed by Hiroshi Teshigahara • 1966 • Japan

A staggering work of existential science fiction, The Face of Another dissects identity with the sure hand of a surgeon. Okuyama (Yojimbo's Tatsuya Nakadai), after being burned and disfigured in an industrial accident and estranged from his family and friends, agrees to his psychiatrist's radical experiment: a face transplant, created from the mold of a stranger. As Okuyama is thus further alienated from the world around him, he finds himself giving in to his darker temptations. With unforgettable imagery, Teshigahara's film explores both the limits and freedom in acquiring a new persona, and questions the notion of individuality itself.

This scene in "The Face of Another (1966)" was filmed at Shibuya district in Japan. Teshigahara instructed Tatsuya Nakadai to walk among the crowd like a normal person, who's badly injured expecting lively reactions from people on seeing a bandaged face. But they all looked away.

Lately I've been catching up on some of those movies that are a little different from the rest, some might call them a bit strange. One of those movies is The Holy Mountain by Jodorowsky, enjoy!
