Filtered oils: worth the markup ?

Hi guys

I see carrier oils sold as “filtered “ vs just USP etc.

The filtered ones have a significant markup. Is this necessary if we are brewing and then filtering the final brew thru syringe filters ?

I use MCT oil from my local health shop. No problem.
They filter it through the same filter we use I suppose.
