Easy does not mean optimal. Know the difference. The guy said homebrewing is so easy you don’t even need to heat the oils.
So why would they be nice and heated ? I’m confused

So you were suggesting members brew sub optimally ?Easy does not mean optimal. Know the difference.
I am suggesting that if they are going to refilter their ugl gear, they should consider homebrewing. If they choose to, there is the minimum effort way and there is the optimal way.So you were suggesting members brew sub optimally ?
Check your state laws. You are in a favorable location IIRC. 20g of AAS in a kit vs 500 to 1000 g for some home brewing. Big difference from legal risk standpoint.I am suggesting that if they are going to refilter their ugl gear, they should consider homebrewing. No homebrewer for personal use needs more than 50gr of 4-5 compounds for years worth of gear. If you get a kg you either dealing or you are a gear preper like me.Check your state laws. Order once a year or order once. I understand your point. I might be able to muster the balls to order once lol.No homebrewer for personal use needs more than 50gr of 4-5 compounds for years worth of gear. If you get a kg you either dealing or you are a gear preper like me.
I think the “regularly” may be exaggerated, don’t you think ?You seem like a smart guy.
I have seen you on the HYB thread and like the feedback you have given there, regularly.
Do you refilter what you buy or not?
You can always pay a little extra and get it domestic. Raws don't leak eitherOrder once a year or order once. I understand your point. I might be able to muster the balls to order once lol.

PTFE 0.22micron 33mm, 20ml syringes hand, 50ml for caulking gunHow did this become a home brewing thread? We already have those. What filters do you all like to use to refilter and what's your method?
I am sure some people simply can't due to space, time or other constraints. Time not so much I am dedicating max 4h every 6 months or so from start to finish. But space or other reasons I do understand.@narta I actually would love to home brew but it's just not possible for me at this point. Some day hopefully I can. Until then I'll be buying UGL oils.
In your opinion, what are the commonly available reputable companies for syringe filters?I'm just kidding of course
But in my opinion. the very last line of defense, the final items used in quality control, should be medical grade products from trustworthy sources. Syringes, vials, filters.
Those Ultra Spec vials are so cheap, yet certified to all the USP/FDA standards applicable to vials. there's really no reason to use others. (unless you want even higher spec like Corning Valor Glass vials and WestPharma stoppers, a good idea for long term storage).
The FDA has already advised no one use Chinese made syringes and banned most.
Filters should be sourced from reputable specialist companies, and not unbranded generics from Temu, Alibaba, or even Amazon.
Not sure if this is a refection of you or your girl. lolMy girl would think I am cooking meth. She is already not super excited with all the pharmacy and chemistry lab stuff I have.

Thanks. I don't know anything about these companies so wouldn't know the difference between "Cobetter" or random generic Chinese name. The price for Cobetter Is actually pretty good. For oils?
Syringe Vent Filters Hydrophobic PTFE Autoclavable
Autoclavable hydrophobic PTFE syringe filters. Pore size: 0.2 μm. Diameter of 13mm/25mm/33mm with Luer lock. For venting and air filtration.shop.cobetter.com
There are marginally better filters but at astronomical prices.
For Petides:
Sterile 0.2 μm PES Syringe Filters
Hydrophilic PES syringe filters with single or double-layer membrane. Pore sizes of 0.2μm. Diameter of 13mm/25mm/33mm with Luer lock. Sterile individually packed. Used for sterile filtration of protein solutions, cell culture media, and buffers.shop.cobetter.com
The best in this category use the "Supor" PES membrane, like Pall Filters, or B Braun. They're much much more expensive ($4-5 each). I buy them at huge discounts from science gear surplus sellers (I live near a "research triangle"). Pall is the standard for compounding pharmacies. But Cobetter is 95% as good, and superior (less protein adhesion, faster flow) to many name brands, never mind generics.
