Filtering finished oils

You're such a dipshit. This is a thread about finished oils and you want to talk about glassware?

How do you sterilize the solution? That's what we've always been talking about. Now that we've gotten to the point that you understand the question -- which took an amount of effort that suggests your contribution to the answer will be vanishingly small -- go back to telling people to google. Or just shut the fuck up entirely.

The assumption is flawed from the start, why would you have spore in the solution? Explain that with any logical reason.

Because if you don't, a .22um filter is more then enough for sterilizing the solution

A basic kitchen table, raws/oil/solvents, syringes for measuring and filtering, a heater magnetic steerer, a baker, filters, vials. That's a basic no bs setup. You can then gradually upgrade things like graduated cylinders for measuring, digital heater with built in thermometer, stainless steel work bench for easier cleaning/disinfection etc.
those are the things i already have in my personal guide. can i message you to get clarifications before posting them in public?

@UncleBuns sorry for hijacking :P

I’m a literal biochemist and don’t have the confidence to do this at home. Over the years my colleagues and I have absolutely fucked so many simple things in the lab that we only caught in final qc release testing.
Better buy it from a sketchy source online.
PTFE 0.22micron 33mm, 20ml syringes hand, 50ml for caulking gun
I prefer 60ml syringes. I fill the syringe up until 50ml. Can filter 18 mast E vials in less than 30 minutes by Dual Weilding Caulking guns

I have a caulking gun that will fit a 100ml syringe.. the 100ml syringes are made heavier.. IDk it's where it's at for me...

I havent seen any 100ml syringes made by an actual medical supply company
Does it matter if they are claimed to be sterile and you still filter everything coming out from the syringe with a 0.22um filter? Even if it was not sterile, oil on the other side of the filter is sterile, right?

I get my filters from Tisch Scientific. They even have 0.1um PTFE filters for reasonable price, which I may try in future to compare effects on PIP - 0.22 is enough for bacteria, but 0.1 may collect more aggregates. I suspect that with such small pores I'll need to use a caulk gun with larger syringes.
I use them as well, a bit pricy overall but now I have tons of filters that will last me a very very long time

If wouldn't, but I had some syringes that were recalled. MCT was leeching plastic. Finished product was cloudy
I remeber you saying something about that while back...I had some syringe filters that i have used quite a few of before but started using a different brand so I just had them put up. I ran out of what i was using and got them out to finish up a brew and the was turning the gear cloudy..
I ended up filter the brew into a media bittle and waited until the other filters come in to vial up the rest.. had to be the filters cause no other problems.. weird..

So just trying to make sure I understand properly.

Filter oils in 0.22um filter then probably a good idea to bake the vial in the oven at 80c for 2 hours that will ensure that you destroy any potential bacteria that may be in the oil. Doesn't matter what the AAS is... Test/Primo/Deca/EQ/Tren all can go into the oven and be just fine.

Assuming the vial you filtered into came steralized or you steralized beforehand of course.

Home brewer guide from a place that I think instructs compounding pharmacies. Its only 4 pages long, easy read. 160c for 2 hours (page 3) and then quarantine it until you get your results back for sterility and endotoxin. (per the pdf, not per me).

There is a book I have in pdf format. The Art, Science and Technology of Pharmaceutical Compounding. I can upload it somewhere if anyone wants it.
