finally got my cpap

Wait wait so with the cpap now, you’re sleeping 14 hours a day and you’re super tired and it’s like you’re on melatonin all day long?
That’s crazy. I take 20mg melatonin to even fall asleep. Damn adhd and sleep issues.
I’m getting a sleep study done soon.

But im worried with the cpap that’s how it’ll go for me. I’ve snored and woken up 5-6 times a night for years and years. Always tired no matter what.
It’s gotten to where I rather live on 5 hours of sleep.
Anymore than 5 hours I wake up a bunch and I’m exhausted.

If the cpap makes me even more tired. That’ll blow. But eventually it’ll go away I hope.
So many mixed reviews about it.
that was before the cpap machine. this will be my 4th night with it i believe

I'm guessing you don't live in the US? Because I can not comprehend a year long wait list for a CPAP machine. I mean do they only have so many in the country and they wait for someone to die before it's passed on to you? Is it a government funding issue? I just don't understand I guess. Here you could get a brand new one the same day it's prescribed

it's because my age. in canada if you are a certain age you have to wait on a long list to receive the sleep diagnosis

That’s shitty!
I had to messaged my doctor and say I have all the symptoms of sleep apnea and family history. So can I get an order for a sleep apnea home test.
And she sent it in a hour later.
But never thought to ask me about my sleep with all my health issues I’m dealing with.
Pros and cons of the American healthcare system I guess

Welcome to the Club, same thing in germany regardless of the age. Getting an appointment for the first check-out took me about 5 months. 2nd appointment to get a basic check with a device at home another 7 months and when that shows anything i then get into a proper one with a actual lab where i would be sleeping to record sleep movement, brainwaves, body temp., stool, urine, blood and all that fancy stuff.
If thats the case and i get to go to the actual lab, it will be around 6-8 months of waiting time again and then 3-4 months to get approval from my insurance and then 4-6 weeks until the paperwork is cleared. So nearly 2 years or so in total.

im going for "Another" sleep study , i went to ent dr for evaluation for sleep apnea, he already is talking about a nose apparatus possibly, so idk , i know i CANNOT handle a face mask type cpap, Has ANYONE used the nose apparatus style cpap?

You can usually trial for 30 days and if not suitable, return for a refund.

Try these 3.
ResMed P10 (Wide nose)
F&P Micro (Narrow nose)
F&P Solo (Auto tighten)

I recommend the P10 but try all 3.

where do i get these? Do they automatically have a list at the office ?

Yes thats the P10 I recommend. But dont buy from Amazon..buy off cpap websites..there's fakes lol..

All the masks I listed have a 30-day return guarantee, try all 3. Find the best.

is there some type of "sterilization bag" where you can just put the hose mask in a bag and sanitize ?

Yes there's cleaning equipment for these..but if you're on insurance they will replace the parts for you quite often. Every 3months or so or something.

I used to clean it weekly..now i just..well leave it till it gets replaced
