First Test and Deca brew questions

I decided to just brew the test first yesterday, I’ll get to the deca next weekend.

It turned out great. Couple of hiccups. I went with 250mg/ml and 1/15 for ba and bb with MCT oil. The first problem was with the hot plate. It has a thermometer that it uses to regulate the temperature. I thought the hot plate was off and the display read 71F. After it had been stirring for about 5-10 minutes I checked it and I felt some heat, so I shut it off and measured the temp and it was 180F. Probably for not longer than 5 minutes. I let everything cool for 30 minutes and then set it back up stirring for another 45 minutes.

Pulled it into a syringe, exactly 50ml. There was some general fuckery getting things sealed up with the filter and needle but I think I got about 45ml filtered.

After i cleaned up my mess and put everything away I looked at the gear and saw some crystals. Not many, and a couple vials seemed perfect. I threw everything in a heating pad and it all cleared up. This morning it was all still good except one vial had just a few crystals.

This morning I pinned my delt, 1.2cc. Super smooth, no pip. Pretty satisfied overall. Hopefully the brief moment on the hot plate didn’t degrade the hormones. I’ll get blood work in 6 weeks or so.

My experience 180 is not harming the hormone or the oil.. tje yellow tint I've only had happen with cyp .. I habe been told it's from the raws. But I honestly don't have a definite answer

Since MCT starts out clear did the yellow tint come from the heat?

And it's my understanding that there should be absolutely no crystals after filtering. A 0.2um filter is small enouph to filter out microscopic bacteria so nothing visible to the human eye should make it through.

Are you sure you didn't use a PES filter instead of PVDF/Nylon/PTFE? A PES filter WILL dissolve so what you thought was crystals may be parts of your filter membrane and the brew may not be completely sterilized.

The MCT was clear the yellow was the raws, it turned color immediately. I feel pretty safe with the filtering, it was a pvdf filter. The crystals all dissolved within a couple days even the ones I didn’t put in a heating pad. On the 2nd bottle now, no problems, no pip.

Good to know. Were these ppl raws? I'm about to switch to mct and want my gear colorless.

And were things room temp or already heated when you added the raws?

No they were ST raws if I remember right. Bought it about 9 months ago. It was all room temperature before I put it on the stirrer.
