For all you guys that have the network channel FitTV, did anyone catch that special on BODYbuilding?

There was a segment on it all about natual body building and this asain dude Stan Mcquay. This dude was pretty built and he claims he's "all natural".

They where showing a contest with contestants that where tested for anabolic steroids. These guys looked BIG... I
understand that with the proper training and diet and genetics it is possible, but some of these guys where huge!

I have been lifting weights consistently for over 5 years now and kinda sorta look like these "all natural " body buiilders but, thats on gear !!

If these guys are so called really all natural, then I really must have some poor genetics.=( Are there any X-A members that compete in "All natural " bb?
If so , are these guys really natural? I know I probably answered my own question on the 3rd paragraph but i need verification.

I would venture to guess that almost 100% of the "competitive natural" bb's have hit the gear. They are just careful on timing and what gear they do hit as to not get popped in a tested show. And as far as Stan M. goes, he has definately hit the gear. All IMO of course. :)

Natural BB, What a bunch of phonys, well most anyway.
I have a friend I've known for years and he's done juice since his yearly 20's he was early 30's at the time, and he decided he was going natural and was going to do a show 9 months later. I told him that was hypocritical and he just kinda looked at me like why? I won't be on anything. But my point was you didn't get this far naturally why do a natural show besides he had symmetry and size to possibly go pro and make some $.

There's a good article on this site about the inherent "unnaturalness" of bodybuilidng. I think it's called "natural bodybuiling: an oxymoron" or something similar.

Honestly, it depends on your definition of "natural". I've competed twice and both times I was "natural"(defined as: not using AAS or any associated drugs, unless you consider ECA one of those substances). However, both times I lost to guys who were, most certainly, using "un-natural" methods.

FYI- these were just the show at my school, so they weren't any really big deal or anything.

First off how can you call this sport or game natural in the first place regardless of drug use.Ingesting extreme amounts of protein,Training frequently with heavy weights and all the other legal supplementation isnt natural at all.If you worry all that much about being natural then you probably shouldnt work out at all and leave your body as it is cause that is the most "natural" thing to do.It can be defined as drug free bodybuilding but that is also a controversial issue.Ephedra currently in the US is temporarily being sold as an otc supplement but in canada its classified as a drug.Secondly there are many prohormones/pro steroids out there (like methyl 1 test) which are legal but pack a punch (and are as liver toxic)as some real steroids and will make you fail a test designed to detect anabolic steroids.Bottom line.If you are seriously into this game you surely arent "natural" from any perspective.
