Food Production/Harvesting...

Snowed yesterday but the seed arrived. Gotta pickup a pallet of pelletized lime and a pallet of corn to keep us rolling in the mean time. Getting ready to start all my veg seed for the garden indoors.

Spring has been here for a while...
Me and the wife have been getting some rays for a few weeks now. Got her in the gym. Gonna get my boat out shortly. Change the plugs, check for cracks and my yearly registration is paid mofo! Time to tear it up.

Just found this thread TEK no pics to show yet but ima dig some up. Hunting, fishing and diving ( spearing) my whole life, used to spear fish for a living , about 10 years actually. Haven't been gardening in a while but this thread makes me want to get my garden back in order. We can grow a garden all year long here and i need to start it up again.
I am in awe of where you live, beautiful spot you got there TEK, country living at its best.
Welcome brother.
Please post up anytime! I hope to get some regulars in here as it gets warmer....pics not neccassary but always a bonus.

Alright so I read through this thread TEK. BADASS! You got some fine whitetail you're growing there. I am fortunate enough to live in elk country and salmon and steelhead territory. I am very lucky to be able to chase these critters. I used to live for it (fished every chance I had) but my passion for bodybuilding and a growing family have taken the front seat the last couple years. I won't go back and comment on all the previous posts but will be contributing starting now.

Here's the bull I killed last year. Was actually calling him in for my Dad but he would have bumped him in the nose with his horns if I wouldn't have shot. I was standing about 15 yards uphill and he was coming straight to my Dad. Came in fast and came in screaming, hot and horny. Drew as soon as I saw horns, placed my pin right where he was going to come in and as soon as he stepped into it, fired. Arrow placed in his lungs, good shot, he turned and took off down the hill. Went about 150 yards and dropped in the clear it across the draw. Dad and I didn't have our phones so no field pics but the European on the wall tells a story.

Damn this thread has me thinking about where I want to live when I retire. TEK's first few posts of pictures has me thinking about my parents place and land in Michigan (far, far removed from the sad chaos of Detroit). I miss being able to do whatever the hell I want in the yard and being surrounded by peace and quiet.

My parents had a large garden and while it was nice being able to pick green beans every night for dinner, I didn't fully appreciate how cool that was. I'll look to see what if any pictures I have on this comp, but I've got some solid memories going through my mind now. Quality thread!
