For those filtering oils - who's using sterile filters, and who's not?

Yeah, that was my assumption and the reason for wanting to freeze, I'm assuming the oil will be unaffected from freezing/thawing but wasn't sure if it would affect the stability/potency of the gear if done semi regularly.

For oils -- PTFE only. no PVDF NYLON PES

1. pop the vial top
2. pull out 10ml syringe plunger
3. pour oil in
4. plunger goes back in
5. push through filter

backfill.

um .45 or .22? does this matter? Looking to filter less than 10ml
Hyrdrophilic or Hydrophobic?
Are these sterile? i see some are advertised as sterile but non of these are?
looking to filter my Eq and test together in a 10 ml vial. I know this is probably really stupid, i see everyone saying different things but seems like you know what your doing so yes i see someone saying use phobic etc but hearing it from you would help. thanks so much.

These are sterile


The ones you listed aren't.
Hydrophobic is easier to push through but either works honestly.
For 10ml you can just get 13mm.
.22um or .2um.

Im asking for quite the spoon today, but i was originally gonna order from one of the websites ive seen posted here but everything im looking for is out of stock.. are amazon vials high quality? or should i wait for one of the websites?

KStek works, but they only last 30-50 21 gauge pokes before getting a bit too brittle for my liking.

so no daily drawing/pins with these (at least not for me)
the 30ml ones are about right for that purpose (actively drawing oils from them during a cycle/cruise), 100ml ones are good for long term storage.

I personally use these at the moment, but I already have the slightly higher quality Fluorotec ones in storage for the future.

Works for most syringes, just make sure its REALLY jammed in there, especially with the heat expansion the syringe gets from the heated oil.

but its never a bad idea to just buy more syringes. 100pcs is like 4-8 bucks, so i would just get luer slip ones as well, just to be sure.

copy that, so heat the oil before doing any of this... lol im so glad i took the time to ask a few questions.. this filtering stuff is completely new to me.
