for those of you who dont use heat for your brews..

What do you do about the viruses that pass through your .22?

M

Good question because im still trying to figure out how some are using a .45 filter and no heat without getting infections due to the viruses or some sort of unknowns as well from that process

Right ..

I see a lot of new brewers praising the .22 but my goal was to always kill all the bad stuff in the brew before ever filtering .....

Problem is a lot of info is passed around from guys who never brewed ..
but that's just someone wanting to be a part of the crowd ...

Baking is best IMO

In 03 our main concern was baking not the .22 ..

It's simple logic ...

Bake gear nothing bad survives
even without filter ...

Don't bake, filter through a .22 and viruses might get into the vial ...

Bake and use a .22. .
don't just count on the filter

To sterilize with dry best you'd need 500deg for at least 30min-1hr during which time it's vey possible you would damage the hormone. Baking is not something I would ever do unless sterilizing glassware.

Filter and BA is what you need to do n

The BA will kill the micro organisms present...

I personally us a UV medical light to disinfect my vials before I inject just in case some got in when I drew from the vial my last injection

I was on the shitter in work before and got bored looking stuff up :-)

read that molecules ... get through a .22

Molecules certainly do otherwise you would have significant issues:)

Seriously though, this is at least part of what the BA is for.

I don't think BA kills much
I think it just keeps new shit from forming ...

And molecules yes we like molecules

I think it just keeps new shit from forming ...

I would agree that it does this. But viruses in general usually just don't do all that well outside of their preferred environments let alone in somewhat hostile ones. this is why even mild antiseptic use cuts infections so rapidly.

Hell when doctors simply started washing their filthy paws with soap it was like the viral/bacterial Holocaust!

Point being, even mildly hostile chems do help prevent many infectious baddies from killing you.

Small molecules to get through
I am unsure what constitutes a "small molecule" in the sense of his term but generally speaking anything bio chem related wouldn't normally fit the definition.

GSO molecule itself would likely be unable to pass through too small a membrane filter.

That's cool ...
I'd zap my girls butt with that before I ate it, but I like the way it tastes ...

That's it ..
big zapper we can zap the beakers will kill everything and we all set
