Free Testosterone 1871

The problem is this, he charges his patients $7/100mg of testosterone he prescribes, cash price. Fortunately he likes me and gives me the bottle price, I've referred several men and women to his clinic so he has mercy on me. If he didn't I would have to pay $112 for 1600mg of Testosterone monthly.

The problem MAY BE THIS; patients growing big muscles whom are also on TRT?

There is something contradictory about that PIC mate!

Does the DEA care that much about TRT docs? From what I can see there isn't a diversion problem with my doc as he has taken precautions to cover his ass. He also does not write any scripts for any narcotics at all, he wont even write ultram anymore. I have to get all my meds from my ortho. So he isn't getting any attention from that direction.

curious question a little off topic, but if a patient dies of say a heart attack or something and it is shown that their medical records showed a pattern of over-prescription with well above range medication levels, wouldn't the doctor be opening himself up to wrongful death lawsuits from the family?

I don't think the family is allowed to view labwork without permission from the patient . Which if the patient is dead , labwork can't be viewed

Good question and the short answer is YES ....... AND ..... NO!

Patients must first be provided with FULL DISCLOSURE in WRITING about the risks and benefits of TRT!

If FD is not provided the inherent risk also increases at least to some extent from a ML perspective.

Personally I don't concern myself with what could happen bc people can and some do sue for almost anything.

To that end I've been sued three times and ALL were dropped, it's just a part of medicine and seasoned docs know that and accept it!

Finally understand the most difficult factor a plaintiffs attorney must overcome within a reasonable doubt "is a CAUSE AND EFFECT RELATIONSHIP".

That's to say someone who sustains a TRT complication but also has altered lipids, smokes and has a family HX of HD has a greater burden of proof, etc

When a patient dies the closest family member generally has "durable power of attorney" in most jurisdictions. However it's always better for decisions like POA to be determined BEFORE a patients die or are deemed incapacitated.

Nonetheless whomever is granted POA must receive a copy of the deceased patients MEDICAL RECORDS within a reasonable time period and after paying the "customary copying fee". That means the doctors office must make reasonable efforts to inform the POA family member, if known, the records are available if requested. In Texas the copy fee can not exceed 18 cents per page.

However few, if any, physicians I know bill at that rate and many DOCs charge nothing, including myself. I just think that's some cheap ass shit, to charge a patient for a MR copy after they have moved onto greener pastures.

I most certainly charge 18 cent/pg for records requested for legal investigations and I'm not necessarily referring to a med mal cases where I'm a defendant.

I do not have any desire to become a pro BB'r.
I still have a good head of hair, have not noticed a significant amount of thinning since I started TRT in 2010.
I am 40.
No prostrate issues, PSA numbers are good and I do not have any symptoms that would cause concern. I mean I get up once at night to relieve myself, some nights not at all.
