Gel, patch or injection?

I was just tested and the result is a low test level at 247. My doctor is giving me three options, Gel, patch or injection. I was looking for advice from the board of which is the best option.

Options

Most start out with a gel first. Patches can be irritating and inconvenient. Be sure your doc keeps up with all of your hormones, not just total t. These include free t, estradiol, DHT, prolactin, DHEA, pregnenalone, etc... Keep in mind that although generally effective, injections should be used if gels don't work for you.

I started with the patch and believe that I got better absorbtion then I did with the gel . But the patch was to difficult to keep on and was rather inconvienient and noticeable. Did the gels next for a year but got diminishing returns plus very high dht levels. Switched over to injections. The first one or 2 you do on your own can be intimidating but after that it is a piece of cake. Plus I am much happier with the results from the injections and is very convinient.

Keep in mind that if you use the gel, if you have kids around, you need to be aware not to let them touch the area you applied the gel to.
I opted to go with injections that I do myself, and like stated above, the first couple of injects are kind of intimidating, but now they are cake. Just remember to not get sloppy with them and clean and aspirate every time like you should. And remember to rotate injections sites. I tend to go between my delts, quads, and glutes so as to not build up alot of scar tissue in one area. Depending on how much your Dr. puts you on, a good rule of thumb is your delts can hold 1ml of oil, and quads and glutes can hold 2ml, maybe a bit more, so keep that in mind if you get 100mg/ml or the 200mg/ml solution and how much you are supposed to take.

First before starting on TRT or T. meds. find out why you are low. It could be your Thyroid, liver, stress, high E2 "Estradiol" you could have a Pituitary Tumour. Go to SWALE's DR. John's site and read his TRT:A Recipe for Success and the HCG Update. He has the tests you need there.

I have talked to so many men that went to a Dr. because they did not feel right and had the test done just for Total T and started on TRT only to go from one Dr. to the other because they just did not feel good on T meds. Most would end up at an Endo's office and they are just not up on low T. They would take you off the T meds to test you and all they are going to find out is how sick they made you find out why before going on T meds first.

thanks for the input. I spoke with my doctor today and asked for further tests to be run before I start TRT.
