Gene Rychlak benches 965!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have used bench shirts, elbow wraps, and knee wraps. and yes it is true that i can lift more weight with those aids, but at the same time i feel it helped prevent injury. it's like adding extra tendons. if someone thinks using these things is cheating then don't use them. but if your a competitive powerlifter imo you need to use these things to stay with the competition. i also believe that using a bench shirt is no more "cheating" than using aas. because in both cases you are enhancing your strength in an unnatural way. but at the end of the day all that counts is if the meet that you competing in says it's allowed or not. getdiesel

Good Post!!!!!!!!!!!

To steal a line:

Louie Simmons has been on a cycle for twenty-one years. He made this great quote one time. He said, "I've got a bottle of Test and a double layer denim bench shirt sitting in the back of my gym and I've yet to see it bench 100 pounds." The lifter is still doing the work, man!

Also, anyone that can't respect a big bencher who uses a shirt, just try to unrack and hold 600 lbs +. That is a feat in itself.

One question, for several years, everyone was chasing 800 lbs. Then out of no where, 800, then 900+ started falling. What the fuck. The equipment hasn't changed since Anthony Clark's days.
