Look at his ratings on Iraq, more people than not feel he did the right thing.

According to this poll majority of Americans disapprove of the way Bush is handling his job, disapprove of the way he is handling the economy, and an overwhelming 58% disapprove of his handling of the situation in Iraq while only 39% approve. I will try to find more up to date polls, as I believe the support for the term in Iraq is dropping by the day.

Yea my bad, go to www.pollingreport.com they have polls as new as August 29th and September 4th. I just looked at the new updated August 29th poll. Here are some of the results to popular questions.

Bob Smith is right most Americans do belive it was the right thing to go to Iraq %55 believe so, %38 disagree. But if you look at the polls below, which are all recent polls(all taken in late august early september) it is quite clear that the People do not believe George W. Bush is heading us in the right direction.

"Do you approve or disapprove of the way George W. Bush is handling the situation in Iraq?"

Approve %45
Disapprove %52

"All in all, do you think the situation in Iraq was worth going to war over, or not?"

Worth it %44
Not worth it %51

"Do you think the U.S. should keep military troops in Iraq until a stable government is established there, or do you think the U.S. should bring its troops home as soon as possible?"

Keep there %55
Bring home %41

Do you think George W. Bush has a clear plan for bringing the situation in Iraq to a successful conclusion, or don't you think so?"

Has a clear plan %36
Dont think so %58

"When it comes to the war in Iraq, do you think that removing Saddam Hussein from power was or was not worth the number of U.S. military casualties and the financial cost of the war?"

Worth it %43
Not worth it %49

"In general, do you think going to war with Iraq has made Americans safer from terrorism, or not?"

Safer %45
Not safer %50

"Do you believe that what we were told by the government before the Iraq war about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and Iraq's links to Al Qaeda, the terrorist organization, was generally accurate or misleading?"

Accurate %37
Misleading %60

All these polls show, that Americans do think that morally it was the right thing to do by going to Iraq, but belive it was not worth it. Did not make us any safer, majority of Americans do not trust the bush administration,do not believe bush has a clear plan to solve the problem in Iraq, and all in all disapprove overall of the way Bush is handling the situation in Iraq, so while going to Iraq may have been the right thing to do, having Bush lead the way most of us feel is wrong. I do not trust this president who touts himself off as a war president, but the funny thing is he has never stepped on a battlefield himself, except to knock his coke and alcohol problem. In conclusion I do not know who to vote for, But I do know this has been one shitty 4 years.

When you look at every poll that asks the question, Bush wins handily as the "better choice for leadership" over Kerry, often by 20%+ points.

Kerry got a call on Saturday from former Pres. Clinton saying "Quit talking about Vietnam!!" It seems like everyone knows that except Kerry. Not only that, but Kerry has hired a bunch of Clinton advisors to help change his campaign.

db2 -I am with you on this bro. It doesnt matter what poll info you find, any articles that disprove another claim, whatever. The Pro-bush people on this board are gonna spin it. Alot of people on here are taking a " please dont confuse me with the facts, i've already made up my mind " attitude where bush and this administration go. You are wasting your breath and your time .

What a well written and compelling case you've made in support of your argument . Are you a journalist ?

No, that does not go without saying. Maybe from 95-00 it would have, but that was 4 years ago so your point has no foundation. What I asked you was where exactly does it say that Cheney (or Bush) has a major financial interest in going to war?

In May of 2000, Cheney sold nearly half his Halliburton stock before he was chosen as Bush's running mate. The rest was donated to various charities and universities in January of 2001, a few days before being sworn in as VP.

So again I ask you, where is Cheney's "major financial interest" in going to war?

Yes, this is what I thought too.

Heres an interesting article about Kerry. www.anncoulter.org

Well, as soon as Kerry took one step onto Vietnam soil whether he got fired on or not, is still more then Bush has ever done. So I think we know who the real "LIL BITCH" is. Once again, we have a war president that has never been to war himself. Would you want to eat at a restraunt where the head chef, has never even cooked a meal himself before?

As for you kineticEnergy, I believe the terrorists would actually want to vote for Bush now. As world hate for the U.S.A. is growing larger, and larger, till a point now where we look like the terrorists. We our distancing ourselves farther and farther from our once allies. Oh yea, where is Osama??? The real head of the Al Qaeda?? I dont give a fuck about Saddam, he was never a threat to us.According to the president our main objective was to catch Osama, and when the president realized he couldnt achieve it, he needed a scapegoat. Catching Saddam, was like going out with the hot chick and her fat friend and at the end of the night fucking the fat friend, you really didnt want to fuck the fat friend, but as the hot chick was unattainable you had to settle for what you can get :) Also congratulations on finding the CAPS LOCK key. :)

So then why do you Dems love Clinton so much, considering all the places he sent troops and yet he never wore a military uniform. Why the double standard?

I do not love Clinton, and I do not consider myself a democrat, I vote for who I feel is the strongest canidate.. But I will never suppport Bush, If I had my choice John Mcain would be the next president. Now he is a real leader. Now that is another question, how when given a choice between a true american leader like John Mcain and a grade A fuck up like Bush, does Bush get selected? I am sorry but I believe Bush is this countrys the worst leader we have ever seen.

Then who will you be voting for?? If you vote for who is the best canidate to lead this country, who would that be??? Since you only will be able to choose between W and Kerry (since in many states the Dems are suing to keep Nadar off the ballot), who is the better leader? Someone who makes the tough decisions and moves forward or someone who changes his mind from city to city?

Invading a country that had nothing to do with the reason we were given for the invasion in the first place doesnt qualify as " making a tough decision " ...It was a stupid decision JB . Sticking by your guns when you have been proven to be wrong doesnt make you a steadfast, or resolute leader..it makes you stubborn.

I honestly have been torn these last few days on my vote..I am really starting to take issue with Lt. Kerry , I believe the DNC doesnt have the strongest candidate that it could have facing down " the passion of the Bush " . I think that the next 2 months Kerry needs to really start impressing me and alot of indi voters like me. Its time for the gloves to come off, i am looking forward to the debates personally..

Quasi,

First, I never mentioned Iraq. I said "the tough decisions."

Second, With regard to Iraq, I still feel it was the right decision regardless of whatever reason you don't agree with. It was going to have to be done eventually. I think history will bear this out. Some of the same things were said when we entered both WWs.

I thought you knew better than to start spewing the "Bush lied" reteric. W hasn't been prooven wrong in the reasons he gave for war.

Those who disagree just look to Russia, if you think that can't happen here, think again.

I didnt accuse you of saying that IRAQ was the tough decision you are speaking of . I was getting at the lack of a tangible connection between 9/11 and Iraq , which was the reason that GWB gave for the invasion. To disarm those who harbor terrorists..something to that effect. There isnt , and never was any evidence that IRAQ harbored the terrorists groups responsible for the attack on my country. The 9/1 report even says this....Right ? Sorry you took my meaning to imply that i was kicking you in the nuts.

I also have never ever stated that i disagreed with the removal of Saddam . Never..i only stated i wanted an honest pre-tense for that war. i think i deserve to hear that..?

I am not hating on GWB when i say this..but he has been proven wrong in his justification for war..How can you say otherwise bro.. ? If he hasnt been proiven wrong, where are the WMD's ? The entire intel community (other than the human intel in iraq) said that their were WMD's there with a "chemical belt" around Baghdad . They were all proven wrong JB...

Will the Russians attack the Serbs ( also muslims ) for what the Chechen's have done this last week ? Of course not..

Noone ever said there was a connection between Iraq and 9/11. That was never given as a pre-tense for war. Disarming terrorists and those that harbor terrorists was given as one. It has been prooven that Iraq had been harboring terrorists, many of them we're still fighting there. As to WMD, every intel angency in the world, even France, said he had them. I still think they will be found in Iraq or another country where they were transfered. I think we gave him too much time to fulfill his empty promises that he made to us and all of the UN in resolution after resolution.

Al Qaeida was involved in the Russian school attack, these terrorists help each other. They are coordinated.
