Getting rid of that ”gym sock” smell

75982A27-7EAE-4A1F-B158-9730FC181E7C.jpeg Just thought I'd share this cool new machine I just purchased. Connects to the cold water hook up and to your washing machine. Eco-friendly and efficient, and doesn't need any detergent.

My gym clothes were smelling extra funky, this was my solution. Good for knee wraps and sleeves that hold bacteria and odor.

It's called purewash, $300 on Amazon.

Nice, and is your machine a front loader? If so, the funky smell is due to mold/mildew buildup around the door and it requires cleaning after every use to counteract it. I have a top-loader Maytag HE machine and have no issue with odor in even my gym clothes or work clothes.

For things like wraps and knee sleeves I wash them and put them in the dryer with freshener sheets along with clothes. If I can't wash them in the washer I can wash them by hand and air dry.

Nice, mine is a front loader but the pure wash actually states that it cleans your washer as well, how true that is I don't know. But my washer is only a year old and I do keep up with cleaning so there's no mildew...yet.

It seems like it's only my clothes that reek, my fiance's are fine so it was weird. After trying everything this was the only thing to work.

I love that fact that it doesn't use hot water or detegrent, and you don't need to run your machine for long cycles. So hopefully you end up saving a few bucks

Arm and Hammer brand detergent (that has baking soda included) will have people commenting on how good your clothes smell. Expensive brands don't have anything on this one.
I use this as well, even my worst gym clothes come out smelling nice and clean. Using this as well as making sure the door seals of the front loader are kept clean will go a long way in clean fresh clothes!
