When running novolog pre+post workout, would dosing gh all pre-workout vs before each insulin dose make any appreciable difference in hypertrophy outcomes?
My current protocol is as follows:
8:00 AM 4IU GH
8:15 AM Pre-workout meal 150/45/15 C/P/F
8:35 AM 10IU Novolog
Train and consume intra cluster dextrin + honey shake (50g carbs from cluster dextrin, 25g carbs from honey)
10:45 AM Post-workout meal 150/45/15 C/P/F
11:15 AM 10IU Novolog
(meal times include cooking time, and are consumed at last 5 mins of scheduled time slot)
I will be increasing GH to 5.5IU in around a week, and will bump slin doses as determined by glucose readings as needed. Currently, post workout glucose readings are consistently 95-100 ng/dL and 1 hr postprandial post-workout meal readings are 90-95 ng/dL.
-My main question is: Would there be any additional benefit to splitting the GH dose up, and pinning the second dosage immediately post workout, with the main goal of maximizing hypertrophy?
My second question would be: I am splitting up my protein intake between my 5 meals evenly, would there be any benefit to moving more protein around the workout window/adding EAA's, or should the current protocol be sufficient? In any other context, I would not worry about this, but I'm not sure just how much the rules change when insulin is in the mix.
