Giant Semaglutide Thread (and other GLP-1 / GIP agonists)

I got a question am really curious about with tirz, I get my stuff from the underground good source am happy with it and dose it correctly and it all makes perfect sense to me , most start at 2.5mg a week for a few weeks then go up to 5mg a week then go up to 7.5mg I understand the ladder and how you are suppose to basicly climb it ,

What I don’t understand and what is confusing me is all these people am seeing on tiktok and Facebook paying crazy money to get it from the pharmacy , then when I look at the online pharmacy as well and hear everyone talking about it , it seems they get a 2.5mg pen but it is split over the 4 weeks ? Same when they talk and show you a 5mg pen but they use that over 4 weeks to , so are they actually only using 0.625 a week when starting on the pharmacy and again instead of being the higher dose of 5mg pen if it’s taken over 4 weeks is that 1.25 a week actually there taking ?

Or do the pharmacy pens work like if it shows 2.5mg , it means x4 doses at 2.5mg , then same with 5mg it means x4 doses at 5mg ?

Pens are single doses.

The come 4 to a box.

It's odd they'd split a 2.5 zepbound pen, which I've heard of with 15mg pens, because boxes of 2.5mg pens cost exactly the same as 15mg pens.

So I think the pens in the Uk are mostly kwikpen, they defo seem to come 1 pen , 4 needles for it ,

But either the whole Uk population is being scammed and not actually getting close to the dose they think , or my underground source is actually a lot more expensive than the pharmacy’s haha

Because if the number on the pen is per dose inside the pen and not total amount in the pen , that means the 15mg pen actually has 15mg x4 so a total of 60mg for £199 , but my underground source is £105 for 20mg

If pharmacy is cheaper than underground in that case I defo should be going to the pharmacy instead

Oh, nevermind. Market based questions from the foreign minority here on MESO should be prefaced with the country of context, lol.

Single dose pens in boxes of 4 are $1,060 regardless of dose, in the US (though
there are ways around this).

This isn't the first time I've heard underground sources being more expensive in the UK and EU than pharma.

Of course you need a prescription to buy pharma, but that should be readily available from telemedicine private practitioners.

Please can you explain something more about the effect you had in your IBS with a low dose tirz ? Do you have IBS-C or IBS-D ? Did this low dose tirz slowed you bowels like sema does ?
IBS-D. I haven’t found 1mg to noticeably slow my bowels, but I do seem to get less spasms. Sema even at the lowest dose is hugely noticeable, super slow bowels and a massive effect on hunger. No sulphur burps at this dose either. Compared to the first time I took tirz, I am getting more of an effect on hunger - I’m full faster. I think the 3 months off helped a lot.

Anecdotally, it has helped DH immensely, just at the 2.5mg dose. Also pretty much IMMEDIATELY cleared up his sleep apnea. Both of us are sleeping better as a result, and he’s waking up looking like he actually got some rest. And he’s happy to report he’s not on the sh1tter all day :P For those two things alone, he’ll continue.

@Ghoul, since you’re an expert in this field, what can you say about NA-931? It seems like it’s Reta + IGF-1, apparently still in clinical trials, but maybe you have more information.

It sounds promising, however, I'm a firm believer in the precautionary principle.

If these potential benefits were unavailable by means that offer a well established safety record, perhaps it would be worth considering.

But given that you could use Tirz and Tesamorelin to accomplish the same thing, I see no reason to be a guinea pig this early in the process. There's just no unique benefit from this for those of us with access to those two peptides, which are demonstrated safe for long term use.

You just never know what unforseen consequence can occur from promising new drugs. Some seemed completely benign, and turned out to be nightmares.

I follow the philosophy spelled out in the book "Over the Cliff", by Hugo First. ;)
