Giant Semaglutide Thread (and other GLP-1 / GIP agonists)

Very interesting finding, thank you!

I just delves more into it and it seems you are correct on the insulin sensitivity even so Tirzepatide achieve a slighter higher hbA1c reduction it seems the insulin sensitivity increase in reta is superior.

One thing I found interesting is there was no HOMA2-B increase (C-peptide) in the obesity group Vs the T2D group. I wonder why... But I have no clue.

Tho it's hard to say who's better for bulking and who does react better to a moderate high carb diet.
If I had to guess, the similarity in HbA1c despite the greater insulin sensitivity is probably because reta is causing gluconeogenesis and elevating glucose a bit above where it would otherwise be.

That’s a really relevant topic for a bulking discussion though, as gluconeogenesis is converting amino acids to glucose. I think there’s a phase 1 trial or something showing various amino acid reductions with reta. If I were trying to bulk (or cut) on reta, I’d think I’d want to be very on top of my protein intake.

Yes reta raise blood glucose, I have seen it myself, whirl wearing a CGM I have moment during the day that my BG start increasing and I'm fasted so there shouldn't be any reason for that.. and it must be the reta releasing glucose through the glucagon receptors that triggers gluconeogenesis I guess... I'm not an expert on these stuff so I could be saying lots of bullshit on the technical side but I can't deny the factual evidence of my CGM I guess xD

Finally something from the real world of people who want to get results. Thanks guys for the interesting discussion, I'm currently deciding between Reta and Tirz for bulking.....I'll go with Reta for cutting ✌️

Let the vacuum pull the water in BUT, ensure the needle points to the sidewall of the vial, and hold onto the plunger to keep the flow slow. You don't want bubbles or foam.
ok good to know I was doing it right. I was worried cause last time I guess there were air bubbles in the bac water and it made some foam in the vial, it dissopated tho. I'll make sure that doesn't happen again

No one said it would be optimal. Mostly a thought experiment re: Reta vs Tirz in a caloric surplus and dependent on nutritional context (e.g, high carb low fat vs low carb)

I think I'll probably stick to reta just because I'm scared of switching to tirze and having to deal with that destroyed super slow digestion. I shit so good on reta too xD
Plus the study I have just read about the superior insulin sensitivity of reta has kinda turned me on.

26% increase insulin sensitivity of tirze Vs close to 50% on reta. Jesus Christ fucking awesome

You couldn’t force me back to Tirz if you paid me. Reta shits <3

Yea, it is wild. The addition of glucagon agonism is so interesting, and a bit counterintuitive, but damn does it work. Reta is bae

what about both? I got enough tirz for quite some time. Thought about adding in low Reta on top of tirz. Like 1-2mg Reta on top of 10-15mg tirz.

I am also quite tired and demotivated on Tirz. On Reta, on the other hand, I have more energy and the desire to do more things during the day. A noticeable and interesting difference.

Yeah man I take such nice dumps, I even stopped using psyllium husk because is completely not needed.
With tirz or sema I was shitting rocks on a good day, after a cheat day I was experiencing a prison rape while taking a shit

Yeah the glucagon makes some stuff a bit counter intuitive or to be more blunt not really understood on my part and if you read online even the medical field has still a lot to understand about glucagon mechanism etc but it works... In some funny magic ways xD

That would screw the ratio they created for reta and I'm not smart enough to believe I'm smarter than Eli Lily scientist. There must be a reason they have these specific ratio between the GLP1-GIP-Glucagon.

Reta Is already still not approved, I ain't starting to mix shit and play the kitchen sink approach

That’s true - I didn’t think of the ratio between everything.

That's another thing, I feel zero fatigue on reta but it does fuck with my sleep so that's not good tho... As resting and good sleep is essential for muscle building.
