Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away yesterday, and liberals are already saying riots are going to be ramped up when Trump appoints a new judge.

Liberals in the Senate are already talking about filibustering any appointment. They are scared of a court that will uphold the constitution, and not push the liberal agenda through by going around Congress.

I feel like this combined with another Trump term is going to cause liberals to explode. If anyone thinks it’s been bad the past few months, I’m thinking it will be much worse on Nov 4th.

Sadly, the Christian Right didn’t get their wish even with a highly “conservative” SCOTUS. Abortion is still legal and Roe v Wade has yet to be overturned. As much as I hate to say it, balance is necessary. However, more necessary is putting people in this position who actually interpret the law instead of going with politics, *cough RBG cough*

I saw her passing today. 87 is a long life, still sucks to hear about someone going no matter how old they are. I might not have agreed with her politics, but I respect what she was able to accomplish in her lifetime. Hopefully she went peacefully, and her family and loved ones are doing okay.

Sadly, the Christian Right didn’t get their wish even with a highly “conservative” SCOTUS. Abortion is still legal and Roe v Wade has yet to be overturned. As much as I hate to say it, balance is necessary. However, more necessary is putting people in this position who actually interpret the law instead of going with politics, *cough RBG cough*

SCOTUS legislating is a huge issue. It’ll take a decade of new precedent to eliminate it, though.

RBG should be admired for a life of dedication even if your views are opposed to hers.

The left is however already threatening violence and destruction if the Senate follows the constitution and fills the seat.

The arguments I’m seeing being made against it are funny considering 1. Dems shortsightedly envoked the nuclear option and 2. Unlike Obama’s 2016, this isn’t a lame duck election 3. Couldn’t see far enough ahead to have RBG resign under Obama.

As for the politics of it...don’t ever expect Roe v Wade to be overturned. I’m fairly conservative, but I don’t believe it ever should be. The federal government disallowing abortion is a violation of its role in our republic. As with nearly everything else, this issue should’ve been left to each individual state. Sure as shit would encourage federal funds no longer going to such organizations, however.
