Girlfriend and Mother Go to Jail After Hiding Steroids for Inmate

An inmate at a Connecticut state prison called his girlfriend and asked her to dispose of his hidden steroid stash. Unbeknownst to Paul Dipietro, the conversation was recorded by prison officials. Police responded and caught Dipietro’s girlfriend and his mother discarding the steroid pills by throwing them out the car window. An analysis of pills confirmed the presence of the steroids stanozolol (aka Winstrol) and oxandrolone (aka Anavar). They now face charges of tampering with the evidence, hindering prosecution and interfering.
