Global Test Explained!

John Kerry claims that he will never give the U.N. a veto over our right to undertake a given military effort. It's just that the U.N. can determine whether it is worth it for Americans to die in that military effort.

Kerry's belief in working with allies runs so deep that he has maintained that the loss of American life can be better justified if it occurs in the course of a mission with international support. In 1994, discussing the possibility of U.S. troops being killed in Bosnia, he said, "If you mean dying in the course of the United Nations effort, yes, it is worth that. If you mean dying American troops unilaterally going in with some false presumption that we can affect the outcome, the answer is unequivocally no."

Yeah, I read that earlier today.

What I wanna know is why did Kerry vote AGAINST the first gulf war when we did have UN support, French support, German support.....and why he voted FOR the present war in Iraq when we had none of the above.

He says we needed more international support, but when we had it 13 years ago, it wasn't good enough for him.

Because he's weird...

John Kerry is the 60s peace activist who brags about his combat experience
in Vietnam.

John Kerry is the anti-war candidate who voted to go to war in Iraq. Hes the internationalist who believes we should only use force after passing a global test, but who voted against the first Gulf War and its international coalition.

John Kerry is the Catholic who believes life begins at conception, but who supports partial birth abortion. Hes the ACLU liberal who fears the influence of the Christian Right, but spends his Sundays campaigning from the pulpits of black churches.

John Kerry is the life-long advocate of gun control who never misses a chance to wave a shotgun over his head, even when its a style of shotgun hes voted to ban.

John Kerry is the guy who says the wealthy dont pay enough in taxes, but who paid just 12.5 percent in federal income taxes last year. The average working American family paid around 20 percent.

And thats just the political John Kerry.

He is a contradiction of himself.

Very true...and now he is supposed to be giving a big speech on his faith in which he will say his "faith is very important to him and he'll take it with him to the White House".

Now, wasn't he the one a few months ago criticizing Bush for being "blinded by faith" and allowing his "faith to make his decisions".

Kerry sees he's losing his own catholic vote, and he needs to act. So, he follows Bush's lead once again.

Pathetic.
