Godsmith's 8 Week Cycle Log

Hello, allow me to start with a short intro. I am Godsmith, a 19 year-old college student who is going to be starting his first cycle. I've lifted on and off for years, however never got FULLY into it due to sports (used to play 2 sports at a time and went to school..) I have decided i am going to pour my time, energy, soul into this. Willing to do whatever it takes to achieve what i want.

MY STATS:

6 feet
200 lbs
16-18% BF last time i checked

Now since this will be my VERY FIRST cycle, my log won't begin for two weeks, instead i will open this thread to get help with what i should run, workouts, ect. To be honest, i've read around 20-30 logs, multiple threads on multiple items, and i have no idea what i want to run.

This is what i want to achieve: I want to achieve a full (yet hard) look but i dont want to be fully cut. I dont want to be that male model with a 16 pack and a buttcrack in every muscle.. I guess you could kind of say i would want a full, yet bulky look. Naturally, i am extremely big *not fat*, i have EXTREMELY wide shoulders (never really measured, however i will soon.) I have naturally wide hips, and i'm just a big guy.

So my first question will be this; what should i run, and for how long (also PCT.) This is my first time so PLEASE be patient with me, i will reply OFTEN and will be checking this thread hourly. Im willing to pour time, energy, whatever it takes. If i have left some information out that you need just let me know below and ill reply as soon as i can :D

*SIDE NOTE* I eat EXTREMELY well, healthy, lots of protein, ect. So i think my dieting is actually really good for this already.

*SECOND NOTE* Once i BEGIN the cycle (ordered everything, and begin) i will be logging EVERY day exactly WHAT i eat, HOW much i eat, WHAT i worked out (reps, ect) and my weight. I will also be doing close up pictures of different muscle groups mid-way, and at the end. Will also be doing blood tests at the end :)

Thanks for your cooperation, and i can't wait to see how this works out!

OP, no one will be getting on here and writing a diet plan for you. I do suggest however get my fitness pal and start tracking your macros etc. you probably don't eat as well as you think or feel you do.

I could care less when you run your cycle because we won't be able to convince you otherwise. All you need is testosterone if you must do a first cycle at your age.

Here is my suggestion, get my fitness pal, put all your energy into proper diet and training for one year and see those results and I will put money on it you will see everyone here is right on there advice so far and won't have that desire to use for years to come. Drugs are just ancillary to the hard work, and I suggest getting that hard work put in on diet and training ,then coming back to this decision like @Eman said.

I am seriously considering the idea of doing it natural for perhaps 6 months while putting all effort into it. 100% no bullshit. Rain, snow, anything. Depending on how results are i will decide what needs to be done in 6 months. Appreciate all feed back :)

By the way i wasnt expecting anyone to write me a diet plan haha! I was more looking for a little guidance on gear and what to use, however am leaning toward 6 months of natural to see how it goes.

That's the best thing you could do. At your age you can achieve more without, than with. Keep us posted on the progress. I suggest keeping this log, and continue on with keeping us posted and getting that feed back that you need. It will help keep you motivated.

Will log everything. What i do every day, sleep hours, exactly what i eat, and my workouts. Keep an eye out, will be starting most likely next week :)

I was 20 years old, 6'1'' 220lbs. Raw benched 315lbs for nine reps, raw ATG squatted 425lbs for 8 reps with just a belt, no wraps or suit, body fat was 12%. I decided to run my first cycle after these decent accomplishments.

Wish I could go back in time and tell that guy, wait two more years.

I appreciate the reply man. I have decided to train my ass off and eat properly for the next 6 months starting monday-tuesday. Depending on results and where things go from there i will decide on what i am going to do. If i can see a noticeable difference in both my size, and my power i will continue natural with good eating habits. Cant wait to see how it goes~

So i have a question for some people as i'm starting a massive 8 week transformation on Wednesday. Shit's about to get real. I've never really "counted" calories. I've always eaten clean and ate a lot of proteins however my goal for these next 8 weeks is pretty big, therefore i thought i should do shit right. Before i begin i'll say my goal is to put 20 pounds on, im a big guy, 6'0 200 pounds probably sitting around 16-17% bf right now, i've never had a hard time putting muscle on or losing fat, i mean i've gone from 210 to 195 in just 2 weeks of eating well and working out. I want to put these 20 pounds on, and at least 15 be solid muscle. Right now, to be completely honest i'm not very strong, and i am pretty small (in my terms.)

Here is what i have for what i should eat daily; all broken down.

*ONE NOTE* I went with my body weight x20 for my daily calorie intake.

Weight: 200

NEEDED CALORIES: 4000 per day

Proteins/Carbs ; 1g = 4 calories

Fats ; 1g = 9 calories

60% carbs / 40% proteins (of 4000 calories)

60% of 4000 = 2400 calories of carbs

40% of 4000 = 1600 calories in proteins

2400 calories of carbs = 600g carbs

1600 calories of proteins = 400g protein

Remember you are also taking in fats, take about 80 gram of protein off and 100 carbs

WHAT I SHOULD BE EATING:

500g carbs

350-400g protein

BTW; i used a few different calculators previously recommended (for how much calories i need per day to MAINTAIN my CURRENT weight) which i obviously know ISN'T exact, most were around 3,300-3,500. Essentially i'm adding +500 calories a day on, a large majority in proteins as it's the main muscle building motha fucka

It will be very hard to build 20lbs of muscle, not saying it can't be done. But picture 20 , 1 lb steaks sitting on a table. That is what you are expecting to gain in size.

Just don't set your self up to be disappointed, but stay on the mindset of tracking everything and keep it serious and fun, then I have no doubt you will achieve big.

I wanted to set a high achievement. I've never been scared to fail it as long as I know I did everything I possibly could. I'd rather fail attempting that then succeed a goal of 5 lbs or something

20lbs of muscle in 8 weeks.?

Not even possible with AAS..

Be realistic! goals like that will be the excuse why you "HAVE" to use AAS because you apparently tried and it didnt work for you..

Start with a goal of half a pound a week ajd if you sustain that raise the bar.

If 8 weeks yielded that results people among us would have been Mr. Olympias

The only reason i set it so high is i am not in the physical condition i HAVE been in and CAN be in, im actually not near what i can be or have been. I feel like i can get back to where i have been pretty fast as i've done it a couple of times. I pretty much know i wont hit 15 pounds of pure muscle, but i DO think i can get somewhat close. I am not saying every 8 weeks i'm going to put on 20 pounds, i just think this first 8 weeks ill put a lot more on since it's mostly getting back what i had. I truly think i can hit 10 pounds in 8 weeks.

First workout down, was a tough (as it always is once you leave the gym for months and come back) but fucking felt great. Not being able to feel my chest is fucking glorious. Makes you feel like an animal hahahahahaha. I loved it so much honestly i'm considering going back to my gym at 12 tonight (its open 24/7). Just wondering if you think it's a good idea to go back or let myself rest. I just feel like killing right now haha

The way I look at the gym:
I do t believe in over training to an extent. I have. A friend who pours concrete for 13 hours a day 6 days per week. He has the biggest traps, back forearms etc. the body adapts.

If overtraining existed he would have all kinds of torn parts. Going to the gym for 1 hour per day and swinging some weights will cause over training? Lol. I don't believe in it .
