So I bought the autofil .2 SS filters which are PES, but apparently that's not good for EO?
Thanks

I ruined a rather large brew with Millipores piece of shit bottletop filters. The pvdf one specificallyYeah I've seen these it's not like Ethyl oleate or guiacanol or BB/BA is ever listed on these
Gonna probably buy the millipore from medlabsupply

I use Corning bottletop nylonhow so?
And alright, anyone got a recommendation?
So anything those wouldn't work for? Eo, mct, gso, bb, ba all good? I don't intend to use guaiacol anytime soon but never know.I use Corning bottletop nylon
It ruined it by filter material. Filtered at 80F with 5psi. So it wasn't used error
I only had those filters at that time so no I couldn't refilter. So anything those wouldn't work for? Eo, mct, gso, bb, ba all good? I don't intend to use guaiacol anytime soon but never know.
And what do you mean ruined a large batch, can't you just dump out the batch from the filter and use a different filter? So do you just stick to like 100ml tops now and pour in slowly to avoid this in the future?

@Nuvo6 @helionnThen get PTFE filter paper for it.
I tried the single use bottle top filters and the housing would melt into the brew. Had to throw out a L. Was pissed.
Yes it was full of floaters, you'd see them. It's entirely possible I just got a defective unit and yours is fine@Nuvo6 @helionn
So now I am wondering about the 200ml of Primo 200 I filtered with the pvdf Millipore filter. Did you see particulates or anything not is solution, in the final product? I have been using it without issue and it is visually clear but perhaps I should re-filter through a nylon filter. Found the attached (incomplete) filter compatibility chart floating around this forum or a while.
If you want something that will work with everything get this
VF15, Glass Filtration Set Includes 1L funnel, base, clamp, stopper, GL45 adaptor, and 5L bottle

That Sterlitech is a super nice system. When I was first looking into upgrading to a vacuum filter system, I looked at a Chinese knock off of that system. Save you money and do not buy a knock off. There is a seal that needs to form between the funnel and base, which is where the filter paper sits. If the glass is not perfectly lapped, it will not form a seal with the filter sandwiched between the funnel and base. When you add a vacuum bubbles will form around the periphery of the filter paper, indicating that you do not have a good seal and unfiltered product is circumventing the filtration process.god damn do I really need to spend $500
Here is corning nylon bottle top filters. Are these what I should get?
