got a problem

I think I pulled a muscle in my back two days ago. I was working back and I was fine, but the nexr morning while i was getting ready I felt a sharp pinch, hurt pretty bad too. The rest of the day I had a real sore feeling under my right shoulder blade. SO I applied heat pads and tiger balm all night. This morning it was feeling a lot better but as the day went on it still felt sore. I have a knot in my back where it hurts and it hurts the most when I lift things with my left arm while it is on the right side of my back.. I think I pulled something, but I am in my third week of my cycle...I am not sure if I should go to the gym and do legs and take another day off or what....I am hoping this doesn't mean I have to stop my cycle!! I am thinking I am just going to do legs tonight, all cable/machine excerises so I don't have to lift any plates. any ideas/suggestions on what I can do to get my back up to par? I know I am an idiot for pushing my self to hard, b/c I think that is obviously what happened....thanks for the help bros!!
 
You almost definately strained it bro. Think of your muscle fibers being like a phone cord. When you strain it, it is like the phone cord getting tangled up causing that know you feel. Keep stretching it out and apply heat for about fifteen mins at a time when you can. Those sports rub help with the pain some and definately wont hurt so feel free to keep applying that if you like.

As far as training, listen to your body. Moving it around and keeping it loose is a good thing as long as there isnt alot of pain involved. Do what you can and don't try to hurry the healing. If you feel like it is taking too long and you are wasting your gear, save it.
