HST is a great program for gaining size. Its not designed for strength, but most people do report strength gains while using an HST program. Ive gained strength each time Ive done it, and it seems to be fairly uncommon for someone to lose strength.

So basically it's increased strength more from muscle tissue and not so much from nerve training? .. I'm staying with the 5X5 for now but i do have to read both programs again

Ive been doing the DFHT for a hwile now, after doing the 5x5 for about 4 or 5 months, and i love it. I believe its geared more for size as well but i have also noticed some great strength gains.

I will go back to the 5x5 in another month or 2 when i start cutting though.
