Guns

Hell yeah, shooting 1MOA with a 4x optic. I think we have a nice home defence weapon here. Any lights going on those foward rails? And I hate to be tacky but how much did you pay? Nice rifle!

Bought it on consignment from my gun range for 1100 bucks. Has some trigger work done on it so it doesn’t have that 12 lb trigger pull on it lol

Got the Acog at a pawn shop almost brand new with the case for 600. - deal of a lifetime if you ask me

Only thing I don’t like about the Tavor is the mag release on that model. Other then that it’s a really good weapon.
I actually love the mag release. It flows so smooth when changing the magazine to charging the chamber. If I get around to it i will upload a video of what I’m talking about.

If you think about it though, most Israeli weapons have really odd controls on them in my humble opinion. I mean look at the desert eagle how awkward is that thing to put on safe LOL of course I'm only slightly joking it's hard to argue with the amazing controls on the Uzi and FAL. Those are so well-designed they'll be appreciated hundreds of years from now.
This is true!

The newer Tavor has an AR15 type mag release now.
The only thing I was upset about on the newer ones.

IMI did change it to an AR style release because they were having so many unwanted mag drops with the original.

I can never convince myself to branch out of AR platform unless seriously moving up caliber but that's a completely different purpose. Shot SCARs and similar, I like them. I'd really need to be wowed though. Plus parts are ubiquitous and if a suboptimal situation materializes in the US...the rifle laying on the ground is likely to be the same.

Some of those FN bullpups look badass especially considering overall length but legal 16" barrel. Then a pistol AR does it all for me too. Kind of sad but I've given up looking and accepted I'm boring for a gun guy. Oh yeah Glock pistol guy too...works good enough and more accurate than I am. Boring.

The Tavor is my first bullpup type of weapon. I ran 90 of my reloads through it as fast as I could with the factory iron sights (those things are fucking ugly) on the day I went to buy it. Almost always on target because the action is right there on your shoulder. I have a few AR platforms and now the tavor is my go to. Plus there is something just so fucking sexy about that rifle! 575994522.931371public.jpg

That picture is fricking awesome. Tavor is cool as hell.

Last 5 years I just haven't shot that much so I dream up ideas and then nuke them because I'm not actively shooting what I already own. I get out occasionally but not what I should by any means so in my mind I deserve nothing. I'm also a fan of single platforms and calibers. 556 and 9mm though I have some other randoms but never shoot or train them (sentimental mostly). J frame light revolver, 1911, my dad's old 380 which was a POS new and is probably a hand bomb now (classic buy cheap gun, box of ammo, never train with it or shoot it).

On my list -

Current Aimpoint Micro goes on a small/light pistol build. Probably a 10.5-11.5" barrel that I can put a can on. CQB build that can make hits out to 200 yards if needed.

16" rifle quality barrel (I have a Noveske unbuilt lower that's been waiting for this) and gets a variable scope 1-6 or 1-8. Probably a Vortex 1-6 right now though Nightforce's new 1-8s are cool though atacr is just too rich for my non-shooting ass. Quality trigger and bipod obviously. Same idea with can. Recce/versatile build, ID at distance, make precision shots, but retains a quality optic with 1x and daylight visible dot.

Rem 700 build in 300 Win Mag. High quality chassis and long range glass. Will probably be the last thing I do as I have a few other major projects (like work on house) going on right now and transitioning jobs.

Palmetto state armory had Trijicon MROs for sale at $350 a few weeks ago. Might want to check that sale out, every bit as good as aimpoint if not better.

Picked up something fun for Cowboy Action:
The 1873 Uberti Cattleman II
Color case-hardened and blued. Something sexy about 45 Long Colt Single Action... minimal aiming, just Fanning from the hip. Actually getting pretty good at it, still shit for accuracy though. I guess I need to watch a couple more Wild West films to get this draw down lol

Lol the background is perfect for that revolver.

That's funny, I literally just had this conversation last night over wings and beers with a buddy whose opinion I totally respect. I already own the aimpoint micro though but if I'm looking for another dot I'd give it a shot for sure.

BTW Went on their site and didn't see that pricing - seemed 450-499 average do long gone now. If you scored that pricing that's amazing. Used ones seem to go for that.

Got mine shortly after they came out, paid out the ass for it. Check Primary Arms they always have awesome sales, might get lucky.

I found me a pre ban uzi with all paperwork and original box with the folding stock for 1250..... seriously thinking about picking it up
DO IT! There is a less than 1% chance you will regret that purchase in 5 years. And with nine millimeter ammo around $0.18 I don't even reload mine, it's not worth the time.

Walmart was selling the Winchester 500 rd packs for 79 bucks!!! I bought 3 boxes. Like a little over 17 cents. I also buy palmetto 556 420 stripper clips 62 grain when they are on sale
