Hard to do...

So the first post is always kind of intimidating. I've been reading around meso for a while, and I guess this intro thread is as good a place as any for me to drop my story and request some honest to God advice.

As the title says, running a cycle is something that has been hard for me to consider. After lurking around for a relatively long time now and reading full threads of 100+ pages post by post, it's obvious to me that meso is the best place online for a no bullshit approach to gear. I respect meso's vetting process and the member base's knowledge, and I hope to someday be able to contribute as well. Probably explains the constant influx of new members. But juicing isn't a decision I can take as lightly as a lot of other people.

I know I'll probably get tons of backlash for this but I'm currently 21 years old, 5'6, and I weigh 150lbs with a bf% in the range of 8-11% as measured by my nutritionist. Before you start shaking your head at me I ask that you read up on my background and reasons for considering a cycle...
I was an athlete in highschool who was constantly gaining and losing weight for wrestling. I've maintained a very healthy lifestyle I would say, and seemed to have a very decent career lined up. But last year I was diagnosed with a disorder similar to Crohn's disease. Not as serious, yet still managed to make me lose a ton of weight as well as made it impossible for me to gain any more weight beyond where I am now no matter how hard I try.

The clincher is that I had a very good shot at possible competing in a certain sport on the professional level. But that'll be impossible for me to do unless I can manage to get over this and gain a solid 15 or more lbs in just a few months. I have an acquaintance who was prescribed Watson and it helped him get over a lot of the issues he was facing with Crohn's. I've been reading nonstop (and I don't mean just reading for the past few weeks or couple of months) and it's led me to think gear could be an option.

I guess my question really is: Could I possibly run a well planned out cycle with all the right requirements (proper AI, PCT, HCG, as well as regular bloodwork. My meals are planned by a licensed dietician). Gain the weight I need, keep it, then continue my life normally? Meaning get my regular test levels back, not lose all my hair, and not go infertile at 21? Maybe at some other point in my life I would jump on the gear again, but after this initial cycle could I actually even go back to making some natty gains? I don't want to build a life around the juice just yet, nor am I doing this to flex in front of a mirror and impress bitches...but gear might just help me assure my future career.

P.S. - Wow this came out ridiculously long I'm sorry. If you read all of this then damn I appreciate it lol

Welcome my man. Youre young, but youre grown. Make your own decision.

Also I have ulcerative colotis and my brother has chrons, so I feel your pain.

I weigh 150lbs
...
I respect your concern of whether you should cycle or not, something that alot of guys lack when considering this. That being said, I think you should put steroids aside for a little bit while focusing instead on treating your condition as best as you can and gaining weight naturally.

In theory, yes. You'd be an exception, I've seen very few people actually accomplish this. After the first cycle, I'd say >95% of people either continue to cycle or just quit lifting because they don't want to cycle and don't want to continue training naturally after experiencing gear.

All in all, best of luck whichever route you take. Welcome to meso!

This might not be why you start, but it very damn well be why you never quit ! haha

The honest truth is that once u go down this road 90% of the time it is a life long commitment.

Be real with youself, and make youre decision. I wouldn't start at 21, but I was totally healthy and still gaining weight and making large jumps in strength at that time. Your situation is yours alone, as is your choice. So will be the consequences, good or bad.

Good luck and welcome to meso.

Thanks for the welcome guys, and the quick replies. I appreciate ya'll and this forum, kinda hard to find a board that's truly uncensored so I'm glad to finally be on meso.

@jaymaximus
The support means a lot man, it's honestly plain frustrating when your gut just doesn't cooperate and in a way it helps to see I'm not the only one. Gets fucking tricky just to manage your macros.

Cheers gents, hopefully I'll be around here for the long run at one point or another and I'll see you around.

@fldoms980
You bring up a lot of valid points. I imagine that after seeing your body progress and transform through gear, going back to being natty must be beyond a tough break. As of right now the biggest thing that I'm worried about is my general health, like what could happen to my natural hormone levels. Sincerely, my true desire would be to stay away from pinning for a good year or two and just experiment seeing how far I can make it with just adjustments to my diet and exercise. I feel like that would be the way to go, but at the same time this is also what I've been doing for a while now to no avail. Plus, I no longer have time on my side. If I wanna pursue this opportunity that I'm being offered, I do need to gain weight fast. I'd just hope that I can do it prudently. Thank you for the well-wishes by the way

@Dw725
Lol wise words all around. If this does become a life long commitment then so be it. No one else can take responsibility for what happens with your body, you're absolutely right on that. My thought was just that I would run a solid first cycle now that I feel it can most help me in my future goals. Then hold off on the juice till I'm much older... although I guess there's worse things in this world than a lifetime of flexing and impressing bitches :p

15lb in a couple of months is very unlikely to happen, with or without gear. If it does, and you get there with the use of some juice, it'll be mostly water weight. Personally, I wouldn't jump into AAS at your age, but you're a grown adult and can make your own decisions.

I never even thought I'd be considering it at my age. But circumstances have led me to feel like maybe I could benefit from it. All I need is a boost to get to where I need to be right now, and surely one cycle at this age (done right) won't cause me a ton of lifelong harm to worry about?

And I know I'm a noob but...I have read on this forum and in other places in the past about people who've gained 20+ pounds on 12 week runs of sustanon or deca, or even just test and dbol. Obviously I know a lot of it has be to water weight that's eventually lost, but the majority of that can't be water can it? I'm asking honestly.

With diet and training you can do it. Honestly I wish I started cycling after my first flare.
And there's no such thing as one cycle, just your first.

Good looking out man, I appreciate your honesty. It's a bitch when your gut flares up and you just see yourself dropping weight without much you can do about it most of the time. Hopefully I can gain the weight I need. I've read into those two other drugs (sust and deca) and how people handle them on a first cycle. But although I do want to make the most of this and gain as much as I can, I don't think I'd wanna pin those kinds of compounds right off the bat just out of concern for my own health. Sust has too many chemicals, and deca always should be taken with test. So if I have some adverse reaction I wouldn't know what's causing it. But I think I can reach close to 15lbs or so on just test and maybe dbol. Like you said, with proper diet and exercise.

Also, there's one thing I realize that I neglected to mention in my first post. (I still don't know if the New Member forum is exactly the right place to be asking for advice of this kind but if it isn't, please let me know and I'll just start a thread in the right section).

I had blood tests done a couple weeks ago since I know that's standard protocol when it comes to running gear. Most of my results were normal. My test came out to about 770 (which I'm guessing is a pretty standard number for someone my age). But my estradiol level was at 41. That seemed kind of high to me so obviously I went to see my doctor. He told me it wasn't a matter of concern, so I decided to get a second opinion. The second doctor basically told me the same. Yet everywhere I've read that 41 is a high number for any man. On the lab report itself it was pointed out to me that my estradiol was high and I should consult with a doctor.

How would this change the way I plan my cycle and PCT? I'm assuming that's going to mean a much bigger emphasis on a good AI.
