Has steroid use affected your mental health?

Test has certainly does wonders for my mental. Since i never cruise, every time i go back on from a pct that feeling hits me hard and so its very obvious to me what the cause of it is. The thing i noticed the most from just test though is how good my digestion is. I suffer with stomach issues after having H.Pylori and i swear when im on i have 0 problems with my stomach and acid reflux. Whenever im off though it comes back.

As far as how im effected in relationships... I generally dont really care about much although from time to time i get angry at my ex. Probably because she left me and rejection is something im not used to. I usually wouldnt care but i have to deal with her because we have a kid which makes things a bit more complicated and im assuming thats why the thoughts still linger as well.

For the most part though i deal with life fairly well. Dont have any problems with my temper or anything. I become slightly less patient and extremely over confident to the point where i have to consciously talk to myself asking if im coming off a bit douchey...

I'm just now seeing this. I would say the answer to the title of this thread for me would be a NO.

I was already a little psycho before steroids. That never really changed.

Trt, masteron, Primo etc all have a very positive impact on my mental health.

19-nors on the other hand not so much. Deca and npp make me depressed and makes me extremely gloomy. I can tolerate low dose tren better than I can deca or npp tbh. I believe this to be due to the impact that nandrolone has on dopamine.

Coming from a background of mental health issues I can tell you the positives and negatives I've experienced. I had anxiety, insomnia and depression before beginning aas. Ive attempted suicide and was also an opioid addict for many years. For me aas really helped with my depression sides of things. The increased motivation and confidence were paramount to making further changes in my life that also improved my mental health. Doing better at work, sticking to goals and of course growing in the gym. Certain drugs like nandralone would make me more depressed and paranoid along with increases in anxiety. I stay away from them now though I do miss the joint benefits. Ive landed on that I respond best to dht derivatives. They give me a sense of well being with hyper focus and drive. I currently stick to using test with mast working as my a.i. usually half to 3 quarters of my test dose for mast and I'm good. From there I enjoy orals pre workout. I respond very well to superdrol and anavar. Dbol and abombs effect my stomach to much. But overall I would say anyone with mental health issues reallys needs to take there time with each compound on its own until you REALLY know how each drug effects you. Good luck and don't be afraid to ask for help.

Thanks for sharing your experience with steroid use and its potential impact on mental health. While I haven't personally taken steroids and can't share my own experience, I understand that it's an important topic to explore. It's great to hear that you've noticed positive changes since starting TRT. However, if you're interested in learning more about the effects of steroids on mental health or if you have concerns about your own mental state, I recommend reaching out to specialists at Pill Identification: How to Identify Unknown Pills - FHE Health. They specialize in mental health and can offer valuable insights and guidance tailored to your specific situation.

Those with mental health issues or personality disorders, Has your use of steroids affected your mental health in a positive or negative way?

I used to have a very short temper before I started blasting and cruising about a decade ago. When I started TRT I noticed I didn’t sweat the small stuff anymore.

I don’t go to any mental health professionals but I’ve had a few women tell me I’m a narcissist. I thought for awhile they were just trying to upset me because all of them said it after a breakup. One day I googled it and almost all the symptoms were symptoms I identified with. I think it’s possible, looking back on it…That steroid use has furthered my narcissistic traits. Although I’m able to have healthy relationships. I don’t think it’s affected me negatively.

Has steroid use affected your mental health in a positive or negative manner?
Today those modern women call you a narcissist because you don’t want to walk around with a girl who look like hoe

Whys your post sound like a fucking advertisement

I’ve had three (3) TBIs myself. It’s really affected my memory more than anything. It also feels like I’ve lost a few IQ points at times. I don’t feel as sharp as I use to be.

I hope it’s not intrusive of me to ask, but do you take anything along side of your hormone replacement to help with the PTSD and anxiety? Main reason I ask is I’ve come to realize I’ve been having some problems with anxiety lately and I’m open to suggestions of treatment to discuss with my mental health provider other than benzodiazepines.
Here are a few suggestions:
- CBD (low efficacy in short term, high efficacy when it comes to minimally but significantly lowering long term discomfort and QOL decreases
- Ashwaganda (same as above, but significantly more potent than CBD and may even become more potent with prolonged use
- Meditation: HIGHLY effective, very underrated by general population. Even a single 5 minute meditation session can alter brain waves. Long term meditation can be more efficient at targeting high DNM activity than SSRIs.
- Of course, exercise - but I presume I don't need to tell you this anyway.

If you are a bit more daring (please do detailled research yourself), you might want to consider any of the following treatments:
-> High dose psilocybin (magic mushrooms): We don't know why it works exactly, but it works and it works VERY WELL. Many studies have shown/supported this. Need to check whether its legal or not but when it comes to mental health this is probably the closest we've gotten to a miracle drug there is.
-> MDMA: Thought to be very potent at significantly lowering PTSD symptoms. Lots of exciting research going on currently. Some studies have reported up to 86% decrease in symptoms over course of a year, with only very few actual MDMA interventions in the mean time.
-> Ketamine: Legal in many places for therapeutic use under supervision by now, acts as a dissociative (its purpose is literally to calm your mind down). High efficacy, little to no risk if taken according to regimens prescribed by medical provider.

Of course the last few may seem scary but I would highly advise you to look into them.

The longer I think a guy stays on cycle the more challenging having emotional clarity, we build tolerance, coming off everything can be brutal for some, we are a little different with childhood trauma and upbringing as well, what goes up must come down, are blast and cruise and stay on for life for many, I'm on test for life, I abused gear not going to bullshit you guys it definitely fucked my emotions at times, now I run the minimum TRT doses , I feel manageable and content, short cycles, but ya I started and never really stopped for a decade now so I accept my consequences, I'm ok with being on medical style test replacement for life it can be better than chancing never recovering from years of steroids and sarms , never used hgh or insulin or synthenol thank god lol
