For all of you who say HCG cannot destroy your leydig cells, well your wrong im the living proof! long story short was on for 500iu every night 7 days a week, in a month my testosterone whent from 400 ng/dl down to 168ng/dl! estrodial at 14 pg/ml so exessive estrogen is not the case, i took a 2 week pause now trying to get back on HCG at a much lower dose 250 iu three times weekly and my total testosterone is at 150 ng/dl now! keep in mind E2 is in check HCG is mixed the right way and all that, i still beleive that permanent damage from HCG to leydig cells is rare and wont happen to most people, but for some dam reason it sure happened to me , it might be rare but its definitely possible! just shows how everyones body and biochemistry is so much different, now ive made myself primary and finished off my testicles for good, i dont even feel the HCG bringing my testicles in size anymore, its finished working im over with it most likely will have to talk to my doc next week and start on T injections , had i known 500iu every night 7 days a week was to much id do a much lower dose but to late now the damage is done and i guess im gonna have to live with it :( its really two bad because the first 2-3 weeks on HCG i felt great! and thought id just top it off with a little bit of testosterone and id be fine.

It could also be:

HCG antibodies
You never really responded to the drug

Also,
Have you had a trial run of clomid to see if your boys respond to your own lh and fsh?

Im going to ask a really dumb (trouble shooting) questions..........
Are you sure that all of your vials of HCG are for real and not counterfit?
Was this per script meds?

If hcg only got you to 400 tt I doubt that it worked that well to begin with. My TT was over one thousand on hcg mono taking 500 iu eod.

i love it, everytime the case comes up of HCG damaging teticles or causing densentization everyone always trys to come up with the best logical solutions possible lol dont get me wrong i appreciate the input guys but trust me it has caused permanent hypgonadism i think i know my body preety well by now lol

btw i responded very well at the beginning felt great for first 2-3 weeks then just stops working , 400 ng/dl is my baseline testosterone, on HCG it raised it to 700 ng/dl

I'll bite. Here some X-Files type shit for ya... I have a working hypothesis that HCG is not a true mimicer of LH, and that it is mostly an agonist to a high degree, and really, it is just a chemical all to its own that can stimulate the testicles LH receptors. WTF you say?? Thats what it is!!!???Well then, I am proposing that it does require a minimal signal of 1.5 LH measurement from the brain to be effective. Meaning that while HCG CAN still directly stimulate the testicles, it requires at least some natural LH as a "key to entry" if you will. So it is ALL THREE of the above. Further, I am convinced that the molecular identity of HCG just so happens to be recognized by the brain as more readily as LH, and far more profoundly than the testicles. So, its similarity to Natural LH is potential reverse feeding the brain into shutting down LH production FAR more effectively than it can act to stimulate testicular response. And FInally, you now find a "the dark curve" of efficiacy, as the use in LONG TERM SynT application will result in the eventual double negative potential total SHUTDOWN OF DOOM. Meaning, as the time on SynT increases eventually lowering Natural LH below 1.5, it is not only no longer stimulating the testicles, but it is now still shutting down the brains production by feedback loop with no positive benefit at all.....

Theres one for ya. A quarter to anyone who even comes close. Yes, I needed to get laid in a bad way tonight.....:drooling:

I am a spector. A figment even derived from a fantasy.... enjoy....[:o)]

To be honest dude, my nuts came back faster with clomid than HCG.

HCG didnt do a damn thing for me except make me horny.

Everyone is different though.

From my understanding hCG's main function in pregnancy is to stimulate progesterone production in the ovaries without surpressing the pituitary production of LH. If the response to hCG in testes is a lot weaker than the response in ovaries the situation you have described would arise. I could have got this totally wrong though, I've barely touched endocrinology since I'm a biochemistry student.

my TSH is also super high i have hypothyroidism but havent started treating this yet, this wouldent stop the HCG from working would it? i mean if that was the case then HCG would have never worked even the beginning of the 2-3 week period that i felt it working correct?

Were going to start treating thyroids next week , the only reason he didnt give me thyroid meds yet is because my vitamin D and vitamin A were low and he said that try bringing those up which might improve thyroid responsiveness, and then if that fails will move on to thyroid meds, vitamin D and A are in normal range now and thyroids are worst now lol so i know that wont work, but lets forget about thyroids for now my main concern right now is that im almost sure that HCG wiped out my testicles permanantly , my HCG brand is novarell 10,000iu.

Dr.scally im currently at work right now, ive had alot of labs done to prove that HCG has caused primary hypgonadism , as soon as i get home i will post them up.

I can tell you this from personal experience, and this is beyond a shadow of a doubt......You wont get a thing straight until your thyroid issues have been delt with. Deal with the thyroid first and most other issues will then in time deal with themselves.

This is your priority. Really it is.

Does fixing thyroids imrpove leydig cell responsiveness to HCG?

Cant say that it will fixem, but Ill bet you cant get them fixed by any means until your thyroid is in check. Your recovery is most likely on hold.
I had a list of med problems that all cleared up, but only after I got the thyroid worked out.
Things that I would have never ( and my doctor never) contributed to thyroid issues.

If you dont mind me asking, what are some of those problems that you and your DR never thought thyorid problems would be causing?
