Head shaving

Going to finally accept my fate that’s been coming since I was 18 and shave my head. I’d like to find a good electric razor to use ED or EOD as needed. Any other tips or razor suggestions?

Depends on if you want to keep it totally smooth or are ok with some stubble.

I use a beard trimmer with no guard and shave mine like that very few days. I hear the new razor:
Philips Norelco OneBlade is supposed to be good. @Wunderpus was singing it's praises a few months ago.

Little stubble when I’m working is ok. Figure go smooth on my days off.

In that case I'd go with a electric trimmer with no guard. Easy, quick and requires no prep or after shave which will be something you'll appreciate once the novelty wears off.

Shave it clean, my balding brother. I’ve tried most of em since the early 2000s, Gillette fusion power is the best. Highly effective and very forgiving on random undulations. I go against the grain half asleep in the shower every morning, never knicked myself unless it was a zit or a mole.

I haven’t tried the norelco one blade mentioned above.

The one blade is great, but I only use it to shape up my beard. It's just a little too narrow for anything else. For my head I use a regular andis clipper. I use it without a guard and put the side lever on the lowest setting it can go. I like the stubble.

If I were to go completely down to the skin I would use:

I use it on my face when I need to shave it down to the skin. Blades usually irritate my neck so I avoid them. Unless its a barber using the straight edge.

Mach 3 all day. I have been shaving my head over 20 years... trimmers suck because you always end up with one spot you missed. You never miss a spot clean shaving- too obvious what is smooth and what isn't. Most all razors get clogged with hair- mach 3 has an open back so no trying to unclog anything.

I use clipper with no guard if the hair grew out for more than a few days.
But if I stay on top of it EOD then this is my go-to:

Merkur straight safety razor with bump patrol shave gel. Nothing gets it closer and smoother!!!!

Rub your head with green alcohol the first few times to keep the bumps down, you'll get a few until the back of your head/neck area gets used to it

If you guys have a couple bucks to spend tend skin is the best aftershave for the dome ever created. You can have bleeding bumps and they are gone in an hour. Amazing stuff.

Where do u get this? Is it primarily only available online?
Amazon sells it. I used it for years and back in 08 when the bottom fell out I didn't have cash so I researched the ingredients and came up with this- take a big bottle of 91% isopropyl alcohol. Pour out 8 of the 32 oz and pour an 8oz bottle of neutrogena skin toner (clear bottle pink liquid in beauty aisle) and 50 uncoated aspirin. Shake it up after aspirin dissolves... works almost as good as the tend skin for 80% less money. Aspirin beats down any swelling and bumps, glycerin locks moisture in skin so alcohol doesn't dry you out completely and the alcohol closes pores and prevents zits.

Make sure you get the isopropyl with the squeeze tip... the big hole one is super wasteful. Been using this concoction for 10+ years and I have tend skin for special occasions.

Very interesting, appreciate the tip

Dollar shave club is the best deal going. The executive package(the top offering) is $9 a month 4 razors to your door. Never have to shave with a dull razor. First handle is free.

Another tip? Grow facial hair. Unless you got a baby face or have an unbelievably good looking mug youll look like a fucking clone. Facial hair on a bald man is our best friend

I wish I could. OSHA requirements at job so no facial hair when I’m working.
