cholesterol wtf bro... you need to address it

I've been off almost two months. Been pounding fish oil, doing cardio, watching my intake of everything. Not sure what to do. I drink red wine with dinner. Red meat once a week. Mostly chicken and fish.

The doc was only worried about the Test Levels. Which he wrote a script for. He was baffled by the cholesterol levels (my words not his) but didn't attempt to address it.
I'm all ears.

@heady muscle
Niacin my friend. It should help bring back that hdl and lower ldl. I'm on 1000mg per day. You must take a aspirin anything over 500mg niacin per day so you don't flush red. Neck will turn red if ya don't. My doc put me on it and it has helped overall numbers on lipid profile. He did it mostly cuz my lipo protein a was high. However, there is a chart on his office that niacin reduces cholesterol by 7~10% then the chart goes into statins and also percentages.

Try it out for 3 weeks or so with the fish oil and pull a lipid panel off privatelabsmd. Maybe 500mg per day to start. My doc takes the max dosage which is 2000mg per day of niacin. He has same condition.

Is OTC Niacin worth using or should I get a script? I used to use Niacin but couldn't stand the flushing. You're saying aspirin will take care of that? I will give it a try. Much appreciated.

Yes sir aspirin will take care of the flushing. Aspirin 325mg only 1

They sell non flush niacin- sloniacin I think it's called. I got mine at Costco. Not sure where else they sell it. I had no flushing issues with it- I actually should start taking it again.

I'd get a script if you can, better quality and cheaper IMO cuz insurance steps in.

I'd be a little pissed if my doc said he was baffled by my cholesterol levels but made no attempts to remedy the issue :/ How's your soluble fiber intake? soluble fiber binds to cholesterol so increasing it can lower total cholesterol. Increase good cholesterol with more fish, maybe some dark chocolates. Grapes, plums and raspberries have also been reported in studies to raising hdl.

I know. He was running 1.5 hours behind and skipped two elderly patients to sit with me. I am giving him the benefit of the doubt that he was rushed.

And look at the LH FSH levels. WTF?? @Michael Scally MD . What do you think of these bloods. I would appreciate your input please.

SHBG is the lowest I've seen I think. Do you know if it's always that low?
