Heart / Anxiety Related Q

So my heart beats pretty hard apparently. I've had partners comment that it feels like a baby kicking, and that can hear it a few inches from my chest.

I've actually had nurses and one doctor comment on it as well. None have seemed concerned though.

Recently had a battery of tests done after a wonky ECG and shortness of breath. The GP was a bit concerned that the result was indicative of a possible blockage or defect. Wound up in the heart hospital ER and repeated the process.

Basically just picked up a 2500 bill to be told they'd need me to come back during the week.

Okay...

Did a stress echo and imaging came back clear. I wasn't able to finish the first round on the treadmill though.

Symptoms seem mostly tied to stress. But don't know how to confirm that there's not something physically wrong.

I can't keep shelling out for tests that don't go anywhere. But it's also getting to be a huge issue.

Had also considered a soft tissue injury. But absolutely nobody seems to want to fucking look into that.

Anyone ever been in this kinda sitch?

No, sorry I couldnt be of help. Is it physical stress or mental stress? When I was younger(20s) my heart would pound so hard in my sleep that my wife could feel it on the mattress. They ran every test imaginable and it was nothing. Hopefully it's the same for you.

You're a younger guy, right?

Yeah, I'm only 33 and it seems like mental stress.

Work has been hell lately and it was a rough summer all told. But not sure why I'd have anxiety hitting me like a freight train out of nowhere. Legit couldn't drive home one morning and had to call a cab.

Heart has always beat hard as hell. But BP is low and every test I've had done back to childhood good.

It did start taking off about the time I came off cycle though. Rather dropped my dose to legit TRT and then came off. Never been a problem for me before though.

I'm kind of at a loss.

I dunno, maybe I need to start toking again.

What type of stress related habits do you have? Nail biting? Smoking? Overeating? Drugs? Chewing gum? Do you drive fast or slow? Play high volume music in the car? Rock/metal?

Do you sit and think a lot? In your head a lot? People say you should smile more or why are you so serious?

Here is your problem. And I am sorry for any foul language. You need to let sh!t go! Because YOU are creating problems for YOURSELF. You are your worst enemy. And, I am saying this not to cut you down but for you to understand. But you do not know how to deal with those emotions because you were never taught. And that's okay. But you need to recognize that something is missing from you. It should make sense, think about your past, how can you be perfect after that?

Hakuna Matata!
It's that simple, really. It's the most insane discovery I have ever made. I was the one that created misery in my mind with all my f*cking worries and problems. Let it go! Really, if it doesn't kill you instantly, don't worry about it. You are killing yourself with stress. Stress kills.

If you were to die in 24 hours, you have two options:
A. Worry about it until you die and then you can't enjoy the moment.
B. Hakuna Matata, it's okay. Just live for now and make good choices for longevity BUT don't plan to live and never start the living part!

*That's some real advice for you. And get rid of the negative messages around yourself. Don't surround yourself in pain!

I smoke, that's about it and I've been cutting back. The intent is to quit obviously.

I don't mind my speed while driving, but its usually with the flow of traffic? I haven't had a radio on in years, I listen to podcasts.

Aside from weed I haven't done anything in over a decade. Haven't toked since July, and that use was light. I don't drink and eat the same thing every day to keep consistent.

I don't have any negative messages in my purview.

As far as not dealing with shit? Not living life isn't exactly an option. So...

The most overlooked test is the CAC scan. I hate to recommend yet another test but I feel this is the most important one. It isn't covered by most insurance but is relatively cheap at around 200 bucks. The heart calcification scan (CAC) will show the amount of calcium in your heart. Calcium isn't a damaging agent but is a byproduct of the amount of damage that has already happened. A low score, zero, is great and you can relax a bit. A higher score, over 400, and you should immediately take action. At least this will increase or relieve some anxiety and give you a better path forward.

I had my heart bypass 8 yrs ago after I failed the stress test (threadmill) It was elective (I never had a heart attack) and was found I had 2 vessels almost plugged . When I walked uphill I would get out of breath....This sounds familar....Goodluck Brother ~Ogh :D

That's what's crazy, I ran a seven minute mile like two weeks before the stress test. It was paired with imaging though and that looked good apparently.

I'll have to look into a CAC.

If you luckout all you"ll need is a stint . My blockage was in a awkward place , thus a bypass . I felt like a new guy after surgery and still do 8 yrs later . Its scary but dont be afraid no matter . Its doable . ;)

We've actually confirmed that its neither cardio or pulmonary as of Sunday.

Yay.

Still had pressed to believe its anxiety as I don't feel anxious. But I can tell at this point that it's an adrenal issue. Had another episode, also Sunday, and had that adrenaline dump feeling after.

I was up for about eight hours, took almost a fifth of JD to turn down. Been having to do about six shots before leaving for work and six more over eight hours to get through work. Constantly exhausted and dealing with that shakey, ready to bounce off the walls feeling simultaneously 24/7.

Like I don't really drink. Twelve shots should have me absolutely fucked, but I don't even feel buzzed. Just okay, but still shitty.

Standard blood work has all been great.

Trying to get in with an Endo, but the soonest I can see one within 200 miles is October. This shit...not sustainable for a year.

Hate to be that guy, but wondering if @Michael Scally MD might have any ideas as to what might be going on?

I'm at a loss.

AS IF!!!! YOU F*CKING IDIOT! :D

If only there was one person here on Meso that actually gave two shits about your retarded fucking ass and would take the time to try to speak to you.

Anyway, Die Empty my friend!

Having a bad day there, Guy?

You are a lost cause :p

Yeah, it's not anxiety.

I'm literally amped 24 hours a day, I know how adrenalin hits and I know what an adrenaline dump feels like.

Four lines of (good) coke doesn't hit as hard.

The only thing I'd have to be anxious about is my company closing it's doors. But I have more than a few offers on the back burner that offer the same or better pay / benefits.

You are definitely a lost cause.

Because there's no way, while using exogenous hormones, that shit might get thrown out of whack.

My back is also mysteriously sore, right about in the kidney area on either side.

Where are the adrenals again?

Also, been on a beta blocker for anxiety for a month. Rolled those dice and wound up having the worst spell I've had yet.

Sorry, but I'm looking for medical solutions ar this point.

Because, ya know, just ignoring it and not worrying didn't quite cut it.

You might also drop the shit over the ink. You don't grasp at all what it means or why I had it done.

You're about 180 degrees off the mark. Its actually a saying quite common in Strongman.

But I'm kind of getting the DYEL vibe the more I interact with you.

And you know what?

I've got 'PMA' tattooed on the left hand. Also got 'Ag Fulaingt Go Hálainn' across my chest.

But again, I'm sure both are sentiments that you couldn't quite wrap your head around.

You think I don't understand you, and I know I understand you. And I also know that you are not capable of understanding the concept I am trying to convey. And you have a narcissistic personality so you think you know everything. At this point, I am the one that is foolish for trying!

Can you say "Sworder, you probably see my situation clearer than I do?"

Why don't you go x2 PMA bro?! x2 on that greatness?!

Umm excuse me guys @LeoTC cannot know everything, that is impossible. I know everything. There is a %0.00000091 chance of 2 people on one forum knowing everything. So I doubt that's the case.

Hey @Sworder hows it going there protein shake?
