Well, she wasnt' born into the Heinz family...she married into it.

I thought it was pretty low on her part. And I don't buy her apology "I forgot she was a teacher...." bull shit!!!

Teresa kerry said on TV the other day that she sometimes says things in an awkward manner because she does not "understand the english language and the way it is spoken in america and that her sons have to remind her to say things a certain way". Come on, that lady has been all over the world, is highly educated, and has lived here long enough to know how to fucking talk.

I cannot remember a time when a wife of a candidate repeatedly spoke out feverishly about the issues and the first lady.....just classless IMO.

She wasn't born into the Heinz family. She married into it. She was a child of affluence nonetheless. As was Kerry. As was Bush.

She put her foot in her mouth with that comment - big tactical error.

It is truly amazing that the media (and the populace) really care so much about trivial stuff like what the candidate's wives are saying. Anything to avoid the issues by the candidates themselves (you know, the guys for which the votes will be cast).

I agree, I dont' think its' a big deal.......but it does have its place here especially since she indirectly insulted teachers and librarians. That rings loud and clear in many peoples hearts.

I think JFK needs to tell his wife to shut the fuck up and let him do his thing. She can only hurt him at this point....cuz she sure as shit has not helped him. Bitch needs to take a vacation for the next 2 weeks.

She should have known better. But I'm sure she had no intention of insulting teachers, librarians, and mothers (as Karen Hughes suggests). Which is why she quickly ADMITTED A MISTAKE and apogized.

It's all spin. And the spin is effective.

Well, I don't know about you but I prefer outspoken women over those whose husbands "keep a leash on them." It may not be good for Kerry (or any politician for that matter), but it sure is refreshing to see someone speak their mind. The candidates themselves surely don't honestly do this. The level of scripting in politics is disgusting.

Laura Bush killed a man, why isnt that a part of the media stories anymore ? Shes a boozing pot-smoking alchy, yet becuase shes now "born again" this isnt newsworthy ?

THK fucked up by saying what she did...but Kerry is still gonna win.

John Kerry killed a teenage boy in Vietnam who was running away from the river bank. Kerry admitted that he got out of his boat, ran the kid down, and shot the kid in the back while he was on the ground. The kid threw a grenade that landed a few feet away and did not hurt anyone (kerry may have gotten shrapnel in his leg, but he never filed for a purple heart, so he was probably not 'injured'".

Laura bush accidentally hit her boyfriends car and he was killed instantly. No charges were ever filed and there was no sign of any alcohol or drug involvement. That comes straight from the police report. For you to say such is just irresponsible IMO.

Irresponsible how ? Its a matter of public record that she killed her boyfriend .

IMO, you implied that it was her drug use and alcohol use that was the root cause for the accident. That is how I interpreted it.

When the actual police report clearly states that NO drugs or alcohol were involved on either party, I just think it is irresponsible to imply such.

Ted Kennedy killed a woman and he WAS fucked up. He left her in a lake for 9 hours while he showered, called 5 friends, and a couple of lawyers. Is he fit to be a Senator???? Is that newsworthy??

Chapaquitic was widely publicized Kayz ,and is the sole reason that he hasnt even ever been able to consider a run at the white house. I dont like the guy personally ( Kennedy ), but i am tired of people trying to raise this Bush woman to Nancy Reagan status.

If i were Lloyd Bentsen III, I'd say to Laura Bush " Mrs. Bush, I knew Nancy Reagan...Nancy Reagan was my friend and Mrs. Bush...you are no Nancy Reagan"

That was a great line in that debate...Quayle didn't know what hit him. LOL

Laura Bush may not be Nancy Reagan, but at least she isn't Theresa Heinz-Kerry.

I like Mrs. Bush. Apparently she has the highest approval rating out of every person in the administration. Dems and Reps like her.

Anyway, one good thing that Mrs Bush has over Nancy is that Mrs Bush never tried instituting a dumbass program such as "the war on drugs."
