Help Diagnosing Hamstring Injury (first hand experience)

So yesterday i was deadlifting doing my warm up sets when i got to 455lbs and was going to bust it out for a quick 3 then move up. I felt strong as hell and was going to go over 100lbs heavier than that. Looking back i feel like a total dipshit because i havent deadlifted in 6 months and im going after bodybuilding now, but in high school i competed in powerlifting deadlifts and i still enjoy them once a blue moon. Im 22 years old now. I weigh 225. My best in high school was 550lbs and yesterday 450 was butter. I knew 600 was there. I train heavy on the regular for bodybuilding but not that heavy. I do the absolute most i can for 8-20 reps on most sets, but heavy and good form, so i am conditioned for it. I am running accutane at the moment which leads me to believe after research that this may have been my injury cause... regaurdless its over with and now i know to not do crazy weight on this shit. Moving past that... i did a proper warm up before this starting with the bar then 135x20,225x12,315x8,375x5,405x3 and so on or something similar to that... i was perfectly warmed up and loose. On my third rep with the 455 i felt a very noticible and maybe even audible pop in the middle of my left hamstring. I accordingly dropped the weight and started freaking out in my head. I could still walk, but with a limp. I can do a squat. I do have significant pain bending over from whatever muscle or tendon it is as it stretches and honestly would not even try it in fear of it breaking or tearing fully. Maybe thats just me in my head. Im not sure. This hasnt ever happened to me. My own thoughts/research are leading me to believe that i have a partial tear and that was the pop i felt. I cant find information about a pop unless it fully tears though, but i dont believe its fully torn. No bruising, can still feel it in tact, not rebounded under my skin, ect...Would i be able to walk with a full tear of that muscle alone if my others were still in tact? I can still feel the tension of it attatched on the part i feel pain. Im only slightly slightly swollen almost to the point of not being visible with no bruising at all as of 24 hours later. Im walking around with no crutches, just a slight limp. If i stretch it just the right way it is a pretty hard jolt of pain. What should my course of action be? Has anyone had any similar experiences???

Please rewrite that utilizing paragraphs. It helps to have a clear introduction, followed by the points you want to make, and then a concise conclusion.

^^^^ This right here OP. I made it 2 sentences before I started scrolling down to see what my investment would be. The return simply wasn’t worth it.

I don’t know. I’ll go with “put ice on it and rest it” or whatever.

Just joking man.

Ok so I’ve never had a hamstring “pop” like that but I had a real bad bicep strain. When that happened it was a similar “pop” but it’s definitely not audible. It’s a sensation thing.

The muscle stretches a little too far then gives out and doesn’t return to its original elasticity. If you can lay on your stomach and left your leg you likely didn’t tear anything (not even partial).

A strain still sucks and can take 9 months to heal. But the only way you’ll know for sure is to go to the orthopedic doctor and he might need an MRI to determine for sure.

You should have had bad bruising come to the surface. That’s usual for traumatic muscle damage so maybe you lucked out and it’s not even a serious strain. Could heal fine in less than a month.

Torn my hamstring back late last year healed up in earlier may of this year. My protocol cost alot me of money but It worked and was all worth it.

Bpc157+ tb500 2000mcg/ml mix.
Pinned 0.15ml x2 a day for two months.

After going through a couple of vials of that I just switched to only bpc157 itself and pinned 500mcg x3 a day for 4 weeks.

Worked like a charm- took alot of time and patience with this injury slowly built up the strength in the injured hamstring but I am back the strongest I've been.

Hope this helps. And yes next time please do indent your paragraphs..

Had something similar happen last year doing Zercher squats for like the second time. Felt like rubber bands popping in the back of my leg. Very painful and was walking with a limp for a few days. From my brief Google research that means minor tear. I took about 6-8 weeks completely off lower body and I was good as new.

Note the degree of bruising/discoloration, swelling, "lumpiness". I've popped a hamstring with none of the above noticeable. And I've had worse. Once you have a serious hamstring injury, you are more susceptible in the future. So be patient and allow full recovery.

I'm actually unfamiliar with the compounds you used on your protocol, but I will look into it! Thanks for your input!

Yeah, fingers crossed it was my muscle "rolling" or just a strain, but if you couod have heard or felt how aggressive the pop was you would be very concerned lol Thanks for your input!
