Help: Did deca cause me degenerative disk disease?

So I did one cycle of Deca from PharmaHGH and on the cycle and after I started getting really tight traps causing pain along with general neck pain and stiffness.

It’s been 6 months after this Deca cycle and I’m still having the pain. I just got an MRI and the Dr. said I have degenerative disk disease. Has anyone had a similar experience or suggestions on how to get better? I’m giving BPC-157 a try… any other peptides, PEDS, or supplements suggestions?

Doubt it was the Deca. Degenerative disc disease is basically medical jargon for arthritis in your spine. Had it for 13 years or some shit. Low dose deca actually helped mine feel a bit better. Combo of TB500 and BPC-157 has been a tremendous inflammation reducer for me tho. It’s always in my protocol no matter what because it helps keep my systemic lupus in check. It is key in helping me get rid ver a pectoral tendon tear right too. So that’s always what I like to recommend to my friends that are having arthritis and similar inflammation issues.

You had it for 13 years and still have it? Anything else you recommend for pain? I’m starting PT tomorrow also thinking about getting surgery … but on the fence

I have had it for 14 years. I was natty when it happened, runs in my family.

NSAIDS+ice to help it recover faster.

if its pretty bad, doctor may prescribe prednisone.

This is something that is genetic/happens over time, It wouldnt happen over the course of a short time.

How old are you?
I’m 27. So are you saying it will bet better or will I be suffering with pain the rest of my life? I’m considering corticosteroids as a temporary bandaid to get me through the year because I just started a new job and it’s so debilitating that I almost took a leave of absence. I hope that PT will fix it, or even BPC-157 as I’m taking 500ug a day… started last week

I'm nearly 60 and had this for like 10 years. No major pain yet but I know it's coming so I'll be prepared. I am running some BPC/TB for help with an Achilles tendon tear and it's also helped my back as it's been quiet...too quiet!

"Degenerative" by definition is cell changes, affecting tissues or organs, which will increasingly deteriorate over time. The deca-induced muscle tightness/bloat may have irritated it but doubtful it caused it.

Was not the decca, probably already had it and u aggravated it or made it worse on cycle going hard.

I do take prednisone once in a while like spaceman said, and alot of stretching geta good neck pillow and I lt sleep with 1 pillow at night.

I also have degenerative disc disease.
Its non reversible gets worse over time
And I think its partly due to disc dehydration?
I also have a herniated c-6/c7 I'm debating on getting replaced or fused.

At 35 my neck is jacked up after years of football and labor intensive work.

Anyone's u guys with a bad neck like mine I highly recommended one of these a neck traction device, $25 amazon

Just ordered I have bulging discs in my neck and narrowing that shoot burning pain down the back of my shoulder and tricep and injections didn’t work so now they’re taking surgery. Willing to try everything first. Thanks @laclark89

yea I'm in the same boat, my thumb and index finger even went numb, but I cant get the injections, my dr said the area was too inflamed there was no space for the needle basically an is too dangerous.

I was skeptical of the neck thing at first because u can make it super tight, but my dr an therapist told me it's fine. Just start slow. I think the longest I've left it on for is about a hr while watching a movie or somthing. Defently worth the $25.

Did they tell u what Type of surgery?

Good luck brother, I know all about that pain it sucks that degenerative disc pain is nothing compared to a slipped disc.

Thanks for the reply. I just got back from my first day of PT. My physical therapist says the thinks as of now it’s a muscle problem and that almost everyone has degenerative disk disease and an MRI would show that in most of the population. I’m hoping she’s right. I think it’s possible that I neglected my core and rear delts. I’m now incorporating core and rear delt exercises in my routine. Fingers crossed that it’s just a muscle imbalance.

Yea that or like strained muscles or ligaments or somthing.

Also important to keep those upper back muscles strong along with rear delts and core.

U should get better quick man probably just a little flair up.

My doc said the same thing: everyone has some level of degenerative disk disease, the older the greater. Also, typically, the more active life the greater - they wear out with use. I bet PT will fix you up. Fix the core and stay with it and usually the back will come around, even with a high level of DDD

I went to my pt twice, my guy told me I know my body an all the exersizes by now and stop wasting my time and his time and money and do it on my own at home.

I have it in neck too. Doctor told me the same as you guys...its very common in strenght and combat sports athletes. Honestly pain is very mild...and Im 100% sure we all caused this to ourselves by to much muscular strain a longterm tihhtness in area. Honestly even that thing when Hany Rambod demands no movement of the head during many exercises...is about this. Focusing on proper head position In all exercises helped even when I already have it.

Have you monitored your auto antibody levels, cytokines, inflammation (crp), etc. pre and mid bpc/tb use?

They are very fast with surgery. Hold off. Back surgery is a different level, seeing most people end up with issues afterwards, unlike many other options of surgery. Try PT first you will be surprised, also peptides to. I see so many people getting surgerys in the office i am in, Back is the one you hold off on. Any other is not as severe. So many nerves and sensitive areas.
