ok here goes, my friend got his hands on some winny powder and instead of making it he's just going to "take a few scoops of it" every day oraly. he said his friend did this and got decent results off of it. i tend to think his friend got the decent results off of a better diet and cardio and the winny powder taken this way didn't do much if anything at all. his logic behind it is you can drink winny(which i'm still a little secptical on) so taking the powder oraly is the same. could i get a few opnions on this cause when it comes to things i wont flat out tell people to not do it cause honestly i dont know if it will work. i told him i HIGHLY dobut it will but figured i'd go see if anyones got any ideas as to if it's a total waste or not.

it would work that way but how is he going to measure his dose. for all he nows the scoop that he is taking is equivalent to 150mg or more of winny. very dangerous if you asking me.

Wow, watch out liver.

You guys blow liver problems WAY out of proportion. I personally take 100mg of winny a day for 10 weeks with no liver problems, (I get blood drawn every 2 weeks). I also personally use a powder, measure it on a jewlers scale, and take it orally...Dr. Nick

So you took 100grams of winny everyday for 10 weeks you got blood work done and your liver enzymes were not elevated?
I say the powder is weak.

Its equivalent to drinking,,,Depending on the dose it can take years for the damage to show,,,but back on topic, Of course you can take powder,,,Thats why they made it 17-aa, so it could survive the first pass of the liver,,,A good Liver supp is Liver Essentials,,,It has many liver supps combined at a good dose,,,Get some at www.swansonvitamins.com ,,,Their pricing is excellent,,,VDC

Just because something works a certain way with YOUR body does not mean it is applicable to everyone else. If that were true, then you could find someone that is lean and muscular that eats McDonalds and junk food and say "see, he eats junk food and is ripped, so that means you don't have to be careful with diet to get lean and muscular."

I'm not saying either way if this situation given is a serious concern with the liver or not because I don't know. It's just not a good idea to take one example and extrapolate the results across everyone.

You're comparing the metabolism of food to the processing of drugs by the liver... not a good analogy IMHO.

how do you get blood work done every 2 weeks?
The whole process is $$ if you are not insured with lab costs etc....and if you are insured what do you tell the doc?

There is no real need to get your blood work done every 2 weeks unless you have some sort of rapidly progressing disease...That said, twice a year is more than enough and I have mine done once a year. If I want it done more often, I tell my Dr. that I may be getting laid off soon and want to get a complete check up including blood work and all organ tests. He says, "Sure!" and schedules me for the lab work.

I do have insurance though. If you do not have insurance, I am sure you can come up with a reasonable cause for the tests. Doctors love to draw fluids and poke and prod their patients. It shouldn't be that hard.

I have Hyperhemism so I have to get bloodwork done very often. My doc is cool, I have insurance, so I get liver enzymes, cholesterol, and testosterone levels checked each time I go in. Powder is not weak because I used to do the same thing with injectable Zambons...Dr. Nick

Guess that I should add that I don't drink alcohol ever, nor do I take Tylenol, so that makes a big difference compared to someone who drinks and takes a 17aa steroid...Dr. Nick

Alright, what is hyperhemism??

I forgot. The powder is the same raw material that they use for pressing pills and making injects. Your friend will get the proper results by ingesting the typical dosage used for oral administration. Providing that the winny is dosed correctly. He shouldn't fuck around with measuring out milligrams by the scoop method. He should get a scale and weigh out 100mg and take it once a day or split that into two doses for twice a day. If his joints begin to hurt maybe back off on the dose.
