High BP first cycle

Hey guys,

I’m currently 8 weeks into my first cycle.
I am 5'11 160lbs 13% BF

Test-E: 500mg / week (injected every 3 days - 250mg per injection)

Taking Aromasin 25mg ED because my E2 was at 180 pg/mL but now sitting at 29 pg/mL.

Been having high blood pressure, dizziness and brain fog and was convinced it was the high E2 causing it, now that I brought my E2 down to a normal range, I’m still experiencing high blood pressure.
I went to the Dr. and he prescribed me propranolol and it has brought it down but I’m having to take more and more to keep my BP down since they gave me a really low dose. I hear Telmisartan is good, I might ask my Dr if I can hop on that.

Can someone please help me figure out if this is normal for a first cycle? Any suggestions? Should I try switching to arimidex? I’ll attach my blood work if anyone wants to help me analyze it.

What is your BP? What are you eating? Yes telmisartan will help bring BP down to normal range
The highest it got was before I started taking propranolol was 160/72. Now it’s averaging around 140/70 on 50mg propranolol a day.

Eating very clean.
Proteins: Chicken, beef, Turkey (grass fed organic), grass fed whey protein, cottage cheese, cheddar cheese.

Carbs: Potatoes, oats, rice, quinoa, fruit, veggies

Fats: Peanut butter, nuts, seeds, butter, extra virgin olive oil

I understand that telmisartan is not a beta blocker, so do I take it with propranolol? How should I go about asking for this drug from my Dr? He doesn’t know I’m on testosterone, but he does think I’m on a legal pro hormone.

Also, my bloodwork says low FSH and LH could this be a factor?? Is there something I can do to fix that ?

You could just ask. Tell him your not happy with how high your BP is and you've heard telmisartan works well.

You could always pull back your dosage too. Probably the easiest solution and I'm sure you'll still grow on 350mg.

You could try pulling some sodium out of your diet, stepping up cardio, and increasing water intake.

My recommendation is to hop on telmisartan. You CAN ask your doctor if he’ll prescribe it, however I’m not sure if that’s standard for a doctor to prescribe.

How old are you?
Did your Doc see bloodwork? Nice Test levels. Your going to have elevated BP with high Test levels, keep an eye on it.
Your low values will come back when you successful complete PCT.
8 weeks is good for first cycle, you could go a few more weeks.

I emailed my Dr. I told him my brother takes it for BP and it works for him and I want to take it lol. Let’s see what he says. I didn’t know it wasn’t standard for a Dr to prescribe.

I’m 26 years old.

My Doc has seen my blood work. I told him I’m taking a legal pro hormone called 1-andro lol. He said stop taking it because it’s raising my E2, which I fixed with Aromasin.

Thanks for this input. Helps me feel at ease. Are my test levels normal for 500mg a week?

Also, I’m going to be on cycle for 12 weeks. I’m on week 8 and I’m just beginning to see gains and feel stronger.

Well I suppose I should’ve worded it differently, I’ve never heard of a doctor prescribing it, doesn’t mean they don’t.

First and foremost if you’re going to do this, find a doctor you can be honest with.

Second, elevated BP that high on a simple first test cycle is concerning. Does Hypertension run in your family? What was your BP prior to starting your cycle?
Yeah, I hear you. My current Dr. sucks. My other, main Dr. is on maternity leave so I haven’t been able to talk with her and no, that’s the thing, hypertension doesn’t run in my family on either sides. I’ve been taking all sorts of supplements. Garlic pills, beet root powder, ashwagandha, magnesium, hoping they will gradually help aid my BP issue. I also asked my Dr to refer me to an endocrinologist but the soonest appointment is in 4 months smh

Yes. I do a good 15-20 minutes of cardio after my usual training session 6 days a week
Don’t want to put the cart before the horse because you’re definitely not there yet, but issues like this arising to quickly after starting gear is a good reason to consider putting the drugs down. Get with a doctor you can communists effectively with, figure out if there are solutions. At the end of the day, this stuff just isn’t for everyone.

Isnt 25mg ed way too much aromasin?
Not for me. It’s the only way I can keep my nipples from being sore lol. I tried all the doses. 25mg a day is the only dose that works for me and took my E2 from 180 to 29. So I’d say, it’s the perfect dose for me

you can do this exercise after waking up and before going to sleep:

it works on the long term, if you do it regularly, it is powerful.
You can also drink 1L beet juice a day, it is high in nitrates and it will boost oxide nitrite while lowering your blood pressure.

if those two methods doesn't work then maybe I'd think about drugs such as terlmisartan

i know dumping blood is a temp fix but have you tried that yet?

ill get head aches, then dump blood and they go away. but my b.p. is never that high besides on tren and shitty diet. also another thing to consider is making sure your cuff actually is correct for your arm. too small will cause high reading. make sure your arrow is in the reference range and take the reading.

have you found a solution? would like an update

Also, my bloodwork says low FSH and LH could this be a factor?? Is there something I can do to fix that ?
No that’s cuz you’re on exogenous androgens and your ball bag isn’t getting told to work anymore.

Like the other guys said, get a doctor and be honest with it’ll save you in the long run.

If you already screwed the pooch getting telmisartan from your doc. Download the push health app. You can request meds on it and get them same day usually, or stop the gear but that’s no fun.
