Hip injury

Just found out I tore the labrum in my right hip. I did it switching from conventional to sumo style deadlifting. Any body have experience with this. Like surgery recovery time and how long it takes to get back to lifting lower body?

Ouch! Hope it gets better soon.
I dislocated my right hip at age 12 playing hockey. My growth plate almost came off my femur. They put 3 huge pins through it to hold it together. I was running around in 4 months. This was at age 12 though. If it happened as an adult I'm sure results would be different. My best wishes on your speedy recovery!

Worst part is I Jr. Pr's of 640 and 575 not the squat and deadlift earlier this year. All that hard work going to be gone.

Coming with the experience of destroying my hips the most important thing to do is picking the right surgeon.

Turns out the labrum isn't a big deal but I have a stress fracture in the neck of my femur. Crutches for six weeks. Looks like I'll avoid any surgery
