Your leg is round. Do not look at it as front or side. "take that speed square and keep a straight edge on your leg now move that ANYWHERE on your muscle and its STILL 90 degrees" that is exactly what I'm trying to explain

Ive had a few ppl show and tell me the part of the quad which is the outer part but i can pin that same muscle at 90 degrees from the front or side just trying to figure out the proper technique so when my quad heals from my shitty pinning technique i can give it another go with more hope for less pain haha I am not trying to be a dick. Your just making it way more difficult than it is. Place the speed square running down your leg and the angle will be correct even if it is slightly to the side. Do not place the speed square across your leg because your leg is round that way and it will rock back and forth which obviously won't work. This isn't perfect but it's the only way I could show you what a 90 angle is without getting aggravated.
