Just kidding! lol I'm being a dork and trying to get as much attention to this as possible so that I can get some real feedback.

As most of you probably know, Im looking to change careers. Im currently in insurance sales and looking for something different. Sales is certainly still an option if the pay/benefits are right. I've really narrowed the search down to a pharmaceutical sales rep. Looks like a cool job. I talked to my personal doc to get their view on the reps. Will talk to another doc friend soon to get a 2nd opinion.

Are any of you guys in pharm (not farm) sales? If so, either post here or PM me, Id like to get some more in-depth info before really applying for the positions. In one of my other threads, someone mentioned that two of their friends were pharm reps, was that you Whid, or someone else? Either way, Id really like to hear from you/them.

Bob, you really need to increase your test dosages if you can fit in that car.

I know I need to increase dosages. But you'd really be surprised how much room there is in the front seats ( I could care less about the back). The ONLY person who has ever had some trouble being totally comfortable in the front was Phreezer. Hes a BIG freakin dude. At the time, I think he was like 6'1, 285.

My lil bro was in the med field before he went G-man he says pharm sales guys make good money off the inside stock tips from the pharm companies. He made a nice wad from Viagra (pun intened) because he knew about 2 months before it hit the streets and his pfizer stock split like six times in 1 year.

Yeah, truth is i had an escort years ago and the damn thing had more leg room than my full size pickup, anyway I have a friend that is a pharm sales rep and also a competitive bodybuilder I will see if I can get any useful info from him 4 u. Are you willing to relocate geographically??

Pass along any information that you can get. From what ive been reading, the resumes for potential pharm reps are a lot different than your typical resume. Not sure how. Whatever info you can provide would be great!

Thinking about the tip on viagra, do the company reps have to disclose their portfolio, so that the company (or govt) can ward against insider trading? Just curious.

i used to work in cambridge, ma. and if you've been there, there are more pharmaceutical corporate headquarters there than i've ever heard of anywhere else. it just may be the biggest concentration of large pharmaceutical companies in the world. not sure. anyway i've got numerous friends in pharm sales and they all have done very well. good luck with your research bob.
