How can we convince the US that steroids are not bad

I am getting concerned about all the hoopla in the news about steroids. The new MD has an article telling BB's to move to Mexico so they can keep training and not get arrested. I don't know about the rest of you but I am not criminal. I like to train and look good. We are not hurting anyone, including ourselves, by poking ourselves a couple times a week. We are not crack heads or junkies needing a fix and that is they way the media is making us out to be. What is wrong with this picture? I love George Bush and voted for him but I am disapointed with him for taking such a hard stand on steroids. We need to do something to protect ourselves as good citizens and BB's. Any serious thoughts about what to do?

Numbers, pure numbers. People are just going to have to stand up to this. That will be the only way. But its probably going to take someone like Arnold or Jesse Ventura, or someone with a platform to start the ball rolling. Schwarzenegger and Ventura don't have platforms . . . they are former users. It would take extraordinary personal courage for a successful former (or current) AAS user to come out of the closet. Ventura might do it since he has very little to lose . . . Schwarzenegger is delusional enough to believe he will get re-elected in CA so I doubt we will hear truth from him any time soon.

A more direct answer to your question . . . you cannot convince the US (government or general population) that steroids are not bad.

Be honest . . . 80%+ of Americans will tell you cigarettes and alcohol place a terrible toll on society. A much smaller percentage might even know that alcohol/tobacco contribute to over 500k deaths EACH year. But our war on drugs means DEA/DOJ are bringing the hammer for cannabis clubs and the occasional internet AAS slinger while Congress begs Big Tobacco to buy more American leaf and our nation is awash in booze . . . and alcoholics. States and the Feds desperately need tax revenue from alcohol and tobacco while the likely proceeds from taxing AAS sux.

Most people don't realize that tryptophan is still banned by the FDA despite the fact you can buy EVERY precursor in the synthetic pathway and gram doses in every decent protein powder.

There's at least one characteristic for which Bush perfectly matches the population . . . Americans don't change their minds very often . . . and when we do it happens at a glacial pace. Another is that we need very LITTLE information to form an intransigent position.

Anyone have any idea how to get it started? Contacting Ventura or Arnold would be a great thing. I think, they would support it. AAS is how they got their success. It's worth a try. I am just so pissed off at how the government is reacting to this. It's always some bullshit mothers group that wants a law for everything so they can feel important. Why do we need a law for every damn thing. Pretty soon we will have laws alowing us to jack off or fart when we want. It's BULLSHIT.

First of all that is the problem is with that bastard Bush. He has not done the first fucking thing for this country but fuck up the economy.
