How do you afford a full blood test panel?

Test and Thyroid stimulating hormone alone is damn near 1 grand with insurance it's only 60 but still!!! And there's a $50 fee for each test!

If you have access to an FSA account you can get reimbursed through that. You just have to budget ahead of time the number of tests you think you may run for the year. That's how I do it.

Wow i looked at the wrong one on privatelabs, the one i saw and was planning on in the future was almost $400 or so...now i will know for the future

It's like $60-$100 on private MD labs or direct labs
Thanks, and thank you everyone. Do you know if they charge for the cost of equipment used? Did you have to use your insurance?

When hormone levels were drastically different pre/post cycle, did they ever confront you about it?

None of their business what your hormone levels are. They are there to do their job and thats provide bloodwork.

Thanks, I see that insurance can't be used, so are they going to hit me with lab fees, the cost of using equipment etc. It happened to me last time, when I went to sentera; fortunately my insurance covered the 1000 dollar cost and I only had to pay 60 dollars.

Never had a lab fee from privatemdlabs or labsmd before.

No, you order the test, print out the paper, go to the lab, hand it to the girl, they draw blood, you go home and get an email with your results in a few days End of story

He sounds like me when I first did my bloodtest....

Most of us been in the spot you're in bro. Don't sweat it. They don't even ask for an ID. Just print the req and hand to the lady. They call u back ask for your name and pull your blood and send u on your way. Your ins will never know u were there.
