How long does testosterone withdrawals last?

Oh yeah , one of the worst feeling times of my life . Ran out of testosterone while I was working bush Alaska , 3-4 weeks later I thought I was dying/going insane . Deep depression . Took 2 months of TRT to get right ....Goodluck ~Ogh
I wonder what guys go through if they were on trt or aas for decades and came down with cancer or a serious disease. What happens? They obviously would have to stop. How do they handle that crash?
What are guys like Ronnie Coleman going through if he had to come off? I can only imagine.

You don’t actually think RC is done juicing do you?

Here’s the funny thing - I just got my blood tests back. I’m in my mid 40’s and my total test was 359. My last cycle ended around June or July. Maybe I’m just used to feeling like this, but for the most part I feel fine. My doctor didn’t order E2 or Free Test, so I don’t have anything else to go off of.

Guys at that level have a different situation. Pharmaceutical grade drugs for pct (should they actually come off), doctors monitoring their use, and a general disregard for some other factors of health over looking strong and impressive for PR reasons. The number of guys who actually come off after a bodybuilding career when it was their source of income is probably somewhere in the 10ths of a percent, even if they say they are. Don’t believe for a second 5’8 guys are maintaining 220lb+ lean body weights at 50+ without drugs.

this is miserable. Last trt injection was nov 3. 2 weeks ago is when symptoms started.
Hcg twice a week and no pct. doctor said to just stop while I recover from an illness.

What the fuck!?? I’m losing my shit. Does anyone have any idea how long of a ride I’m in for? I feel like I’m losing my mind. Simply losing my mind. Absolutely miserable.

Feel like I’m asking the same questions. Just desperate.

Is it to late to start pct?

Idk if I’m late to the party. Sorry you feel like shit. Maybe it’s in your head. Or maybe everyone is different. I stopped cold turkey after about 4 years of blast and cruise with no sides other than mass lost and strength loss. Maybe just try to relax and don’t rely on test to make you happy. My levels are below 200 without a shot and only mental effects for me is I need more sleep

I have to think everyone’s different. I feel ok at 359. I notice it’s harder to lose fat, belly fat in general and my libido is down, but I think there’s something underlying that even.

Miserable, losing your shit and mind is absolutely NOT the result of TRT withdrawal, a condition that does not exist in the medical literature.

It matters not what your TT level is fella, you better start looking for another cause of your delpetec STATE OF MIND!

Lol. I’m not literally losing my mind. It’s extreme anxiety that’s making me feel that way.
I willing admit. I had a couple bad weeks. Yesterday morning was brutal especially the brain fog but I started to feel better. We’ll see what today brings.

Thanks for the reply

I see this A LOT an expectation TRT will remedy body image telated libido issues and it’s rarely if ever effective bc the cause is NOT hormonal.

I doubt I’ll go back on unless I absolutely have to. This scared the shit out of me. I own a business and I can’t operate my life feeling like this. To risky for someone with other health issues.

I don’t think it’s “too late.” It is odd that if you were using hcg and never stopped that there’s been no recovery.

Is this TRT your first step in to the AAS world?

There are a couple docs here that may hve some insight for you @Michael Scally MD @Dr JIM. Clear of that, you need to have a conversation with your doctor about this.
his condition is probably primary (lack of testosterone production via the testes) and no amount of HCG can remedy this

I’ve got to admit. Since posting this I seem to have turn a corner. Symptoms aren’t as bad as they were weeks 3-7. This is week 8 and my main complaints aren’t 100% but better than even earlier this week.

This was a good lesson if this shit is truly over.

If your still running HCG, it’s not over bro:(

Unless of course you continue to cycle hcg and or TRT

It’s likely he’s taking enough hCG to suppress lh but not enough to get a decent amount of T production. He didn’t mention how many iu’s but I’m guessing 250. Would 250iu 2x/wk be enough to get T levels up to normal?

So your saying TRT is “rarely” effective at changing body composition in a positive way?

I think he’s talking about the mental aspect. Some people’s anxiety, sexual dis functions and other issues are more mental than physical, Not sure that’s the case for everyone though. Lots of guys get a great boost in confidence from testosterone, that in itself could fix many mental issues.

I don’t know man. I asked about hcg and he didn’t seem interested in answering. If he’s on enough hcg and isn’t primary he may not even have low T. Guy seems to be more concerned that he isn’t on testosterone.

Sorry. It appears I’m doing 500IU twice a week if I did my math right.

If you can split that dose to 330 mwf or 250 IU EOD , I believe you will fair better. This will keep blood levels constant. When are you due for another blood test for TT E2 FT etc...?

I just did it this morning fasted. Exactly 2 days after last hcg injection.
I’ll give that a try.

I feel stupid even saying anything. I kept how I felt to myself for 4 weeks and finally I couldn’t take it anymore and I posed this thread. It was literally next day of posting this I started to feel better and I’ve been feeling better since. Like a switch turned on. I’m still a little weak and tired but the mental/emotional stuff has lifted

I’ve had to deal with anxiety/depression with a few family members and friends. Honestly everyone one I’ve known that has dealt with it has felt so much better after just finally talking about it, be it to friends or on forums and even doctors they all felt better just getting it off their chests. Not saying that’s the case but I know personally it does help.

Now as for any study saying test does or doesn’t affect mental health, sure there might not be any but for my father it was the key. After he was put on TRT his depression went away, it was like a switch that turned it off completely and he hasn’t even felt the slightest bit of depression since. For everyone around him it was very noticeable how much he changed and started enjoying life again. Oh yeah and it was me that told him to get his doc to put him on TRT

If something as simple as a vitamin like say vitamin D(which plays a huge roll in our bodies including producing hormones like test) can have such a huge roll in our system why can’t test affect mental health. I have a couple of friends that are up north and there is a point where they don’t even get sunlight for weeks at a time in the winter and supplementing with large doses of vitamin D blocks/reverses the affects of Vit D deficiency which include heavy depression. Oh yeah and she is a doctor up there and says vitamin D supplementation works better then light replacement 10 fold and she has said there are studies proving it.

So again why can’t TRT affect mental health. No offense to any doctors on here but unless that’s your specialty don’t any of you agree it is possible. Again no offense but I’m not going to go ask my cardiologist about mental health or even TRT just like I’m not going to go ask and endo about my heart health or why my feet hurt.
