How long for HGH and IGF-1 to Return to Baseline?

Does anyone know how long it takes for endogenous HGH and IGF-1 to return to baseline after stopping rHGH?

I'm planning on stopping for a couple of weeks while I see a hematologist and thought it might be a good time to get baseline IGF-1 measured as I've never checked it off/on rHGH.

6 weeks vs 12 weeks is quite a difference. Is there any consensus on this?
I'd like to drop HGH as well but instead to get a baseline thyroid panel.

I think it’s about 2 to 3 days

Your gh goes to baseline quick but your igf1 does not. I know coaches like Type-IIX suggest waiting 3 months after last pin of hgh or ghrp/ghrh for igf1 to return to full baseline for testing purposes.

Ok thanks, I thought you were joking- according to this GH returns to baseline 2-3 days.

This only answers half of your question. You are very likely not getting a gh serum test but an igf1 test and that will be high for up to 12 weeks after discontinuing hgh.

Understood. After that exchange I realized my question was more complex than just "when does GH return to baseline?" and decided to dig a bit deeper.
I've been going down that rabbit hole of what is actually impacting the thyroid and the T4-T3 conversion rate? Is it GH? Is it IGF-1? Or some other aspect of GH?

But in the end I came to your conclusion as well. I'll go with the 3 month wait to be sure. Thanks for the clarification.

By what mechanism does igf1 stay elevated for so long?

Is it GH? Is it IGF-1?

Cursory reading suggests gh itself is the driving force for thyroid change and igf-1 boosts it.

I’m unsure what the exact mechanisms are but it makes sense to me as you want to wait 6 or more weeks when you reach your desired dose of hgh for igf-1 to raise before testing because it takes that long to become fully active on that angle of effect. Gh serum, on the other hand, will be giving you benefits from your first pin.
