Wow, what is the reason for such an amount of fat, what are your goals?
Im definitely not a nutritionist, im not sure if can pretend to be smart hear, im a blood work guy lol that's what im good at.

So at 5000cal a day and high carbs, i grow super fast but i gain alot of fat with it, and since im highly insulin resistant, i have to take a fuck load of insulin a day to combat the carbs.

So instead of high carbs, i take just what's needed, and i substitute it for fat, our hormones work better with high good fats , over high carbs, im sure ill get raped over that, im not sure though lol.

Regardless you need calories to grow not carbs, carbs are for fast growth, so as long as im eating big then thats essentially whats needed, for slow steady gains with minimal body fat.

I can eat 5000cal with 300-400 ish fats and look and be slimmer at the end of the week, i wanna say i just barely gain 0.5lbs but its pretty dam clean.

If i eat same cals with 400-500 carbs i easily gain a few pounds end of week i wanna say 3 to 4 pounds and its not lean at all i do however gain more muscle over the fat week but i gain more fat with it, if that makes sense.

If your goal is slow steady lean gains then high fat i think is a good choice, especially if your insulin resistant or have diabetic issues.

If you wanna put the weight on fast then eat the carbs and cut later.

I eat 3600 calories on most days and I currently weight 230 pounds (104-105kg) at 14% body fat, not shredded or ripped, but pretty lean if you saw me on the beach.

I reach ~300 grams of protein and all else idgaf just calories itself.

I'm like almost 6'2 so I'm not monster status, just muscular athletic guy and pretty big to average ppl.

3200 now that I can't lift for a while. 6'2 down to 212 pounds :( probably up to 14 or 15% body fat. Sad, I have lost like 20 pound since peak and gained some BF.

I have seen at least 1 study showing natural test production is optional at 40% fat calories.

That doesn't take into account is on trt or steroids though. Obviously data are used for all kinds of things. We need cholesterol to heal and make other hormones as well. But is it possible that exogenous test means some cholesterol gets freed uo as it is nolonger needed to make test, and thus can be used to maintain healthy levels of other hormones at lower dietary BF percentages? Maybe. Idk. It's never been studied.

I used to eat 40% fat. I now feel very good at 20-25% dietary fat.nN. 30% max. I find carbs keep me fuller, are more enjoyable to eat, and give me more energy for working out.

Also, for us using gear, keto or high fat on its own increases cholesterol...so that is really not ideal for many people

I honestly haven't counted cals for about 10 years now and I only eat when I'm hungry. Some days I might only have 2 big meals (non training days) and other days I might have 5-8 smaller meals if I'm really active........but I always eat a reasonably healthy diet and I throw in a few luxuries ocassionally too if I want to.

If I don't like what I see in the mirror at the end of each week I adjust my food intake as necessary but I'm never too strict about diet coz I'm not trying to impress anyone with my size or b/f%.

I lift weights to feel good about myself and stay strong with a decent physique, and I do cardio/exercise to stay fit and healthy, so calories really aren't that important to me anymore.

Very interesting information, for me otktrytie. That a fat diet gives a leaner set of muscle mass. Need to try. Thanks for the detailed description.

Yes i make sure to hit at least 300 gram protein. Then ill eat as many carbs right before or after a workout. I have a breakfast of carbs fats and protein. Then ill eat when hungry this comes around 3500 cals

For me, breakfast is the most important thing, there should be meat, complex carbohydrates, fats and vegetables. If I don't eat, I'll be hungry and lethargic all day. I'm surprised people don't eat breakfast.

I agree and then it allows me to eat more through the day.
