How much do you guys INCLINE dumbbell bench?

First time in 3 years doing Barbell bench. I got 155 three years ago max. LOL. I did the smith machine incline bench. Which is the best way to do incline, hands down. I got 225 for 10. I can do dumbell incline 85 for 10 for 3 sets. I don't go higher. I don't max. I workout alone. Also there is no point to max when doing hypertrophy. HAHA

So I really suggest smith machine incline. Great contraction, and its awesome.

Youre joking about the smith machine...right?

100x15
110x12
115x8

My gym jumps from 115 to 130 so when I can effectively hit 115x8 for 3 sets I'll jump up to the 130s. Unfortunately that's the max for my gym.

I use flat BB press as a finisher. I train DB incline and weighted dips heavy.

Because you said smith machine incline is "the best, hands down".

If youre lacking equipment or are injured I could agree. But youre not fully controlling the weight or getting a full range of motion using it. In the long run youre short-changing yourself. Just my opinion*

Lol. No it is indeed not the best hand down. There is no way I said that HAHA. I have never used it" before my last chest workout". I know what you mean. You are not using stabilizing muscles. But to add it in with dumbell incline also, or using it at the end of your workout. My chest was sore the day after. It usually is not. Use it as a hypertrophy, muscle pump exercise. I like it. Obviously, incline dumbell is best, then barbell. But for a good pump and contraction is is amazing.

Wow I did say that. lol

Worked up 10lbs at a time with 10 good reps each. Started at 35lbs,finished at 115. Shoulder pain was a little there so i didn't dare to push it. Missed my old times of 135 for reps like it was nothing

I did some last week for the first time in forever. My program called for 5x6 of any chest exercise after doing regular bench. I worked up to 120's for six on incline dumbbell. Wouldn't call it a true max, but it reminded me why I don't do heavy dumbbell pressing anymore.

Try a bit of deca - 100 or 200 - might get rid of the shoulder pain. Does for me.
