im 5-10 240 been working out for years cycled off and on for many. i never get to quite where i wanna look and i know im my own worst enemy with my diet but how much protein do i need to really grow. ive always known the gram per pound but is that enough to pack it on ???? getting ready to start a Anadrol / test cyp / deca cycle.

It's not only eating. It's training and rest as well. Personally i think 250grams of protein per day are more than enough. Modern guys go as high as 400 grams but i think that's really on the high side. Arnold and generally the guys from the 70's didn't go over the 250 gram barrier.

i hear ya. i think i train farily well but i lack good skills in rest dept. and my diet really needs to be shaped up and revamped i think

A well developed diet will yeild great results. I wouldn't go above 250, make sure your carbs, and fat are in check. Best advice is find a program that works for you then start your cycle. It would be a waste to be trying to figure out your diet when on. I eat clean, esp now since summer is coming around the corner. As with my diet, I only adjust the carbs depending on my goal, fat and protein are usually around the same.

i would go with like 200 grams of whey isloate and hydrolysates and 100 grams of cassein protein. the cassein is a slower acting protein so take 50 grams before bed will discourage your body from start catabolism and then 50 grams of cassein when you wake up. make sure both of the proteins are low fat low carbs and reputable. then take 50 grams whey isolate around midday. then 50 grams at like 4 then another 50 grams at like 6 pm an then 50 grams post workout. you also want to make sure your proteins have all of your main bcaa's(branch chain amino acids) like isoleucine argine, alanine, apartame, crystine, glutamine, glistiine, leucine, histodein, lysine, methsioline, phenylayaline, proline, serine, theonine, tryptophan, tyrsine, valine.. you should get about 64000mg in bcaa's alone. you want to also make sure the protein has bcaa's that are "micronized" rather big particles shrunken into smaller crystalline particles for faster absorbstion.
