You want to make 'an app' in 2024 and think that will make you rich? There are billions of apps at this point, and you think there's some low-hanging fruit left for you to pick? And even if there were, you neither have the capital nor the network to promote your app, assuming that you even have the technical skills to program it properly, or to hire the right people for the job.

Have you started investing in a 401k/Roth? why not?
Date women that work, not at the coffee shop... they dont have to be pulling 6 figures but find a woman that works hard and has goals = Dual income.
Term life insurance policy, for said woman, to put her at ease about your choice of lifestyle. Pennies for her peace of mind.
Skip having kids. Get a cat or a dog instead.
Part time gigs on top of your regular 9 to 5 - You work out yea? Start bouncing on the weekends at the local bar or club to get the ball rolling until you determine a smarter way to spend your time earning.
Live within your means... yes inflation sucks right now, im not saying live on rice and beans (been there though) but dont rent the apt with the extra 300 square feet and perfect location, save a few hundred bucks and rent what you "need".
Sales - I will admit, I have been too scared to get into sales, which is a shame because I am fairly certain I have the personality for it. I am very likable. But anyone trying to "get rich" from nothing, should test the waters with a sales job of some sort. Can be cars, houses, tech, insurance, etc. Plenty of options.
Last one ill mention. If all else fails, dont try to get "rich". Try to achieve financial stability instead and have retirement be a possibility one day. This sounds more like what you are wanting, so set realistic goals and start taking small steps.

If you're social and personable get into sales! I worked in used Luxury car sales and it's good money but very cut throat. If you're thinking of car sales work a a big company that sells new cars (Honda, Toyota , Lexus). Also tree work and roof sales is a good option because their insurance company a lot of the time will pay for it!
You forgot lots of stuff here.

While this person is correct about an app being the path to riches, they’re also unnecessarily cruel, which indicates a flaw of some sort in their personality.
Define “rich”. Sufficiently wealthy to leave the 9 to 5? That requires doing your own thing. That thing will need to be in demand, scale sufficiently well and you will need to be good enough at it to set yourself apart from others.
A plumber could get rich in the right market with the right business. In my area there are lots of well-educated, presumably smart people, but a dearth of tradespeople. Most of them that I interact with can’t run a business to save their lives.

There's a clear distinction between the "company man" track, and regular employees, who often mistakenly believe if they work long enough, and hard enough, they'll be recognized and elevated. The one who works within spitting distance of the company owner or CEO, sees them on a regular basis, exhibits unwavering loyalty, and makes themselves useful, will, no matter how low level of a position they initially occupy, be far, far more likely to be afforded the opportunities to become wealthy than a legion of highly skilled, hard working employees somewhere else in the company.

A few years ago I use to sell hella drugs mdma, weed, coke mainly. Made a lot of money at the time I was unemployed and was able to pay for everything including putting money away to save. IMO now it’s a fools game. Good ant the start and shit when the time comes to stop. Anyone who sells drugs sells until they literally can’t anymore whether if its with problems with the law or making enemies who want to steal what you have. I remember I use to say I’ll sell enough to save up a little bit then I’ll stop. Never did. Then my neibours got sus and there were police always at the end of my street. I remember a neighbour use to talk to the cops all the time. I had a feeling I was going to get raided so I stopped and moved house. Lol good times
There are other ways to make more money illegally though, think white collar crimes that nets 6 or 7 figures, not that I recommend it lol.
