Back on topic......I'm so pissed off with the cost of fuel this year and the impact it's having on my business that I'm seriously thinking about going to war with the fuel stations and doing anything I can to bring my costs down. A friend of mine suggested getting some fake vehicle registration plates made and putting them over the top of my real plates when I go to get fuel and then drive off without paying and remove the fake plates quickly so the police can't catch me a few miles away from the fuel station.

This actually sounds like a plausible idea to me ((if I personally wanna risk doing something criminal to save money for my business)) and if I wore a fask mask and dark glasses and changed my clothes quickly too there is no way I could be identified from CCTV footage if the police stopped my vehicle.

What do you guys think? Worth the risk or just dumb as fuck?

Vote anyone with a D next to their name out. Any cause you see online or in person that promotes a utopia of "love, equality, social and racist justice" point out its commie (democrat) propaganda and speak against it. Thats about all we can do. When they say there's a deadly virus and half the world is died mask up, take drugs, and hide in fear, laugh at them.

I mean if they have YOU on camera and search your car then they find the places and you probably will get a felony. Worth it to save some money on gas? Also removing and replacing license plates can take a good minute or two. You get caught doing that or a camera sees you and you're toast.

Also after a couple times gas stations would be on the lookout for a guy with X make and model and color car in a disguise that is gassing and going and you will likely just get the cops called on you the second you pull up.

Bad idea IMO.

Just try to drive as little as possible is what I generally do.

Also you'd literally need tobchange everything. Shoes, pants, top, everything. Seems like it would be hard to actually pull off. And you'd have to have a safe spot to do it. Even if it worked at some point an undcorecover would just wait there and as soon as you pulled off boom. You're getting locked up.

There is nothing lower than a thief.

Get a fucking job and buy things like an honest person like everyone else that works hard for their belongings and luxuries. Stealing from someone else is about the lowest of the low.

I've read both your replies and noted all points bro but you need to understand that this isn't just about trying to save a few quid/dollars/other currency on commuting/social travel coz I'm cheap and desperate. I was spending about 1k per month last year but now I'm spending nearly 3k for the same work and I can't keep my business profitable anymore with these fuel prices.

I work in the transportation industry so fuel is a very big issue now with the price increases and I can't transfer the fuel costs to customers for their shipments coz they simply won't pay it and I will lose business.

If I use fake plates I will be using random fuel stations all over the country, never the same place twice, always planned in advance with a safe place to switch plates/change clothes etc within a few minutes of leaving the fuel station, and no cameras in the safe place, so I think this could work if I'm willing to take the risk.

What do you think?

STFU you completely clueless idiot!
Who said anything about stealing from other decent hardworking members of society???

I own my own business and operate a fleet of vehicles and each vehicle is now costing me 3k per month for each vehicle just to buy fuel !!!

You have got absolutely no idea about the struggles I'm dealing with right now so keep your stupid opinions to yourself fool

Raise your prices. Jeez, is this a troll thread or what?

Tried it. Didn't work. Lost a lot of business already. Not a troll thread.

You seem to think life is so simple and you can just manipulate people to do whatever you want whenever you want coz that's gonna make your personal life better....

I didn't ask you for your business advice or a business opinion did I ?

I invited responses to dealing with fuel prices and potentially taking extreme measures to combat the exploitation that is now occuring from big global fuel companies.

If you only use a vehicle to drive 1 mile to work and the shops everyday ...this topic isn't going to be something you will ever understand.

We do about 1000 miles everyday in a fleet of vehicles so fuel costs are important to us !!!

And yet you're the faggot who wants to go around in a fake mustache and steal gasoline.
Are you 12?

Go fuck yourself.
I've just blocked you coz you're clearly not even worth talking to and I can't be bothered wasting my time reading or replying to your posts again.

You're a real miserable cunt aren't you, I truly hope you aren't married or a father. Also if you think stealing petrol is a better idea than raising your prices your an idiot.

Being honest, Yes bro, I am a miserable **** now but I only got this way AFTER many years of raising a family, and dealing with shitty and unfaithful partners/fake friends, and spending most of my adult life paying bills and dealing with other people's drama.

You've got a lot to learn if you don't understand that yet.

I'm still a good guy though and a lot of fun with people who know how to have a laugh and not take life too seriously.

Idk man, if you have a fleet then all you can do this for is your single vehicle right? And in that case, will doing that really save your business? You obviously can't expect or legally ask others to do this sort of thing...

I am all for stealing from the rich and giving to the poor/regular people lol

But I am struggling to see how this would work. Now if you're just looking to save money on your own personal fuel costs and its not about the business as a whole then that makes sense.

Ideas/questions:
Does the business have an accountant that could determine a pricing model that would potentially work for now whole fuel costs are high? Or perhaps certain routes, such as going through California or places where fuels costs are fucking crazy, and sticking to routes where they are lower, could help save on fuel. If where I am it is back under $4 per gallon (regular obv, nor diesel or anything). But perhaps being pickier about the jobs you take could help big time.
I personally do think we'll see fuel costs reduce over the next year. By how much o don't know, but this is unsustainable. How much runway does the business have before it is out of cash? Is there any option to get a cash infusion from an investor?
You could also look at hiring a business consultant (not cheap, but could be worth it) to look for other areas where you can cut costs to make up for the fuel costs. Plus then when they go back down now your costs are lower so you can permanently increase the profit margins in your business, thus increasing its value by whatever multiplier is used for your type of business.

Hopefully this helps. I personally don't think it makes sense to steal gas. The risk is very high. You don't want to wind up locked up. Then your finances will really get fucked even worse than you could ever imagine... :(

Sorry your in such a tough spot man. I'm happy to brainstorm more with you.

Averaging 10.1 mpg in class 8 trucks thanksnto various fuel saving tactics.

There may be ways to improve fuel efficiency in vehicles too. Now these would all be investments that would pay off after X number of hauls...but it's an idea.

Also...do you know which other business is undercutting you? Do you know their pricing model? Is it possible they're just trying to run you out of business so they can jack up their prices later when they're the only guys in town?

Have you ever heard of the following strategy? It is done in software licensing all the time.
You raise prices for new customers and target get new customers specifically. Keep costs the same for existing customers but increase for new ones. That way you can use the additional profits to close the gap on past customers when overhead has increased for whatever reasons. Might this be possible?

I'm gonna reply to your comments in bullet points for simplicity bro but I do appreciate your response.

1) My team will do like I asked coz they are all just the same as me with same background (good people/hard lives/made mistakes/no job opportunities etc). I'm an equal opportunity employer that doesn't judge anyone and I got to this way of thinking after spending 6 months in jail from being involved in drug trafficking in my younger days.

2) No accounting. No paper trails.

3) Limiting services just to routes that are easy doesn't work coz there isn't always jobs in those areas every week. I need to be available for ALL jobs to make a profit but the fuel prices are literally destroying my business.

I've been through a lot over the years with my small team but they are not just employees to me , they are like my family now, and I don't wanna be the guy that takes away their jobs and fucks up their lives coz of the current fuel price crisis.,
